A/N: I honestly thought I was over this, I forgive my friend for calling me what he called me but tonight the word is still on my mind. Making me emotional, feeling hurt. Please, if you ever tell someone they're not your type, do not call them ugly!
Just because you might be insecure doesn't mean you have to make another person feel insecure in return. It is incredibly unkind and cruel. The words you choose to express yourself with have more of an impact than you could possibly imagine.
Instead of tearing people down, let's lift them up. Let's help each other and be kind to one another.
I'm not beautiful enough for
You, is that why you'd rather
Call me ugly to my face? Did
I ever say it to you? The two
Of us are insecure, but only
One of us had the courage
To use that word, my mind
Spins in repeat of what you
Called me, it hurts yet you
Said it's a compliment, so
If we took this record in
Reverse, how would you
Feel to be named ugly or
Simply not beautiful enough?
