nobody's pov

"come on guys! keep moving!" mr. minter yells as he watches everyone slowly grind down into a walk. "it's too cold, sir!" one student, bella, whines as she walks around in a circle next to her friends. "well, if you keep running, you won't be as cold, will you." mr. minter says.

"come on. i'll run with you." mr. brown sighs as he decides to join everyone - running in a big circle in order to keep warm.

"i literally can't be bothered, sir." vivian groans. "i don't care. keep moving, vivian." mr. minter harshly says. "but i've broke my nail, sir." vivian whines. "fucking grow up, crybaby." alysha scoffs as she runs past vivian.

"alysha! language!" mr. minter yells. "yeah, it's english sir. can't you understand it?" alysha sarcastically says in response. "alysha, here, now." mr. minter orders.

alysha's pov

i sigh as i jog over to simon, already kinda knowing what he's gonna say to me.

"sup, sir?" i ask like i haven't done anything wrong. "we'll have less of the cheek, and less off the sarcasticness please." simon says as i stand a mere few feet away from him. "sure." i shrug. "and less of the bad language too, please." simon adds on. "oo, can't guarantee that one sir." i say. "no. less of the language, aly." simon says as he leans down slightly, looking me directly in my eyes. "i'll try then. sure." i sigh. "good. now get back to running." simon smiles at me. "sir, yes sir." i say before joining the flow of people once again.

simon's pov

i like aly a lot. not in a i like her a lot, like a crush type of thing. no. that'd be wrong. i mean as in i like her like in a friendly type way.

i think it's because she reminds me of when i was back at school, and around her age or, maybe a little bit younger.

i would always get into fights, skip lessons, disrespect teachers, etc. i was a little shit. and yet somehow, i managed to get good grades on my gcse's (final exams), and land a decent job as a teacher, teaching people like my friends - very good, well behaved students, and ones like me - very bad, and kinda annoying, like a class-clown type of thing.

yeah. school's weird. and it's gonna get a whole lot weirder as we approach halloween.
