alysha's pov

"i'm sorry sir, but i really need to ask you this." i say as we walk away from the science block of the school. "what is it, alysha?" mr. lewis asks. "i should've asked you this earlier, but, why the hell didn't you knock when you came to my room to collect me?" i ask. it's been bugging me. i should've asked at the beginning, but i didn't wanna come across as rude, especially as he seems so nice, and like he'll actually listen to me. "oh, i'm sorry. it's just that i heard you walking towards your bed, so i figured you weren't doing anything you shouldn't of been." mr. lewis explains. "wait, you were standing outside my room?" i ask, a little bit creeped out. "i had only been there a minute or so." mr. lewis reassures me. "doing what?" i ask. "texting mr. bradley to make sure that i had gone to the right room." he smiles at me. "oh, okay." i nod.

"anyway, moving on to our last destination..." mr. lewis says as we walk down the corridors. i feel like it's been too long now since i've seen another student. in all the time i've been walking around, getting to know the school, not one student has come out of the classroom.

"mr. lewis," "yes alysha?" mr. lewis asks. "how long do lessons last?" i ask. "roughly an hour." he says. "how come no one has come out of class then? surely it's been an hour now." i ask. "they'll be their class longer as you're new here. we do this with all new students so they don't feel intimidated, or scared by our other students." mr. lewis explains. "pfft, please. i'm sure i can handle other students my age." i scoff. "which brings me onto my next question," mr. lewis says. "why have you been transferred here?" he asks. "behavior issues." i simply say. "like what?" he asks. "has no one told you?" i ask. "i've heard rumors. that's about it." mr. lewis says. i sigh. "apparently, throwing chairs at teachers, throwing scissors at students, and nearly throwing a student out a window is unacceptable." i list.

"do you have anger issues?" mr. lewis asks. "i've been told i have by many doctors." i nod. "well, that's where i can really help you." mr. lewis says as we approach a singular, oak wood door. "huh?" i hum, confused.

mr. lewis happily unlocks the door and walks inside the room. "come in. don't be shy." he says. i sigh as i walk in, closing the door behind me. "please, sit." he says as he points to a chair in front of a desk - presumably his. i don't say anything as i happily sit down where i've been told to. i watch as mr. lewis sits behind the desk, opposite me.

"what are you, exactly?" i ask, breaking the silence. "i am a support worker. i help many students who have anger issues, disabilities, troubles in class, or troubles at home." mr. lewis smiles at me. "how can you help me?" i ask, intrigued. "well, to begin with, i need to know the source of your anger." mr. lewis says as he grabs a notepad and a pen. i shrug, "probably, mainly teachers and students." "why's that?" mr. lewis asks. "teachers have never shown me respect, and students like to wind me up, or they think they're better than everyone else. it pisses me off." i explain. "i see." mr. lewis nods as he takes notes.

"how're you gonna help me then?" i ask, getting a little impatient. i have little to no patients at times. "what i can do, if you like, is email all of your teachers and tell them about your anger issues so they know, and i can also give you a special pass so that anytime you feel annoyed, instead of exploding on everyone, you can walk out. but make sure you show your teachers your pass." mr. lewis says. i nod, "sure."

[a/n] -the reason i've put ethan's diss track at the top (in media) is because he sounds a little bit annoyed. and as this chapter talks about anger issues, i thought it'd kinda fit. ya'know?
