Upon reaching the room, Maine told him to follow at the veranda once he is done unpacking and arranging his clothes. RJ nodded, still wandering off... Maine noticed, bit thought that he is just tired dahil alam naman niya napagod din ito noong mga nakaraang araw.
"Don't worry, if you cannot go to the veranda, mahal. Alam Kong sobrang pagod ka because of the hustle and bustle of last week!" Maine said and kissed his cheeks.
"Hindi ako pagod, hindi ako pwedeng mapagod...!" Medyo paangil na sabi ni RJ... Unconscious of his over the top reactions.
"Wooohhh, mahal? What was that comment all about? May problema ka ba?" Maine asked, brown eyes bulging...
"Huh? Uhhh.. Sorry, pagod lang ako... Sorry, mahal...!" RJ said upon realizing what he said towards hers is uncalled for...
"No, it's okay... Rest ka muna, mahal... Sobrang pagod ka na kaya rest ka na lang.. Will discuss to you what will be the changes and the driving mode to use on your car. Goodnight, mahal...!" And kissed RJ and was about to turn her back when she heard him said...
"Kaya ko ang sarili ko, hindi man ako kasing yaman mo pero sobrang mahal kita kaya sana sapat na yun!" RJ said unconsciously...
Maine was hurt of what he said.. Akala niya kilala na siya ni RJ na hindi materyosang tao... Akala niya she had already assured him na hindi pera ang kailangan niya...
"RJ, kausapin mo na lang ako, pag okay ka na, baka kung ano-ano pa masabi mo e... Kausapin mo ako kung ready ka nang sabihin sa kin, where you coming from... Baka ikagulat ko na yung ibang mga salitang pwede mo pang masabi...!" And with that Maine walked away, feeling hurt...
RJ upon realizing what she had said, and what he did, run to get Maine...
"Mahal, sorry...!" He said but to no avail... Maine ignored him and went directly the veranda... He in the other hand, still wallowing on self-pity and guilt went to the assigned room to fix his things...

On the other hand, Maine is now on the veranda and announced that either RJ will follow them here or if was tired to do so, they would discuss it for him tomorrow. She still smile but it did not reached her eyes, she goofed and joked around but the joy is lacking... And that's when Nico noticed that Maine lacks enthusiasm.
"Mendoza, punta tayo Starbucks? Gusto ko magkape...!" Nico said...
"Huh? Sige pero ako na lang... Dito ka na lang...!" Maine said and immediately run off the house. No need to asked around for their orders... Its their usual...
She took a helmet and went out to get the motorbike...
"What happened?" Joyce asked.
"I don't have any idea...!" Sam said...
"I don't know either... But Maine did not have her usual bravado...!" Nico said, puzzled, trying to went back on the conversation previously and can't think of something offending... After almost 20 minutes, Maine came back, each hand was occupied with their orders, but Nico was surprised its only for them, RJ not included unless Maine did not want it herself.
"Mendoza, ang bilis mo nakabalik, nagpatakbo ka na naman ng mabilis ano? Pinalipad mo na naman?" Nico asked in stern voice.
"Huh? Binababy mo masyado motor mo, don't worry no scratches. This baby is still up and about!" And then she sat down with her gulping now the fourth coffee... So that answered his questions. RJ was not included...
"Maine, nasaan na si RJ?" Nico asked.
"Ewan, baka pagod lang, natutulog na siguro yun...!" Maine answered, shrugging her shoulders and pouting as if she was just asked about a casual friend...
The trio felt something was off and they decided to call it a day. Maine, then, agreed and went to her room to change clothes and prepare for bed.

RJ, on the other hand, at hindi makatulog, nag-aalala sa mga nasabi niya Kay Maine.  Biling-baligtad lang siya sa higaan hanggang siya mismo ang sumuko at bumaba para uminom ng tubig...

"Finally!!!" Sabi ng isang tao sa dining table...
"Huh? Ummm, Nico???" RJ said.
"Anong ginawa mo, dude?" Nico asked right away...
"Ummm, ano ibig mo sabihin?" RJ said.
"Bakit wala sa mood sa Mendoza?" Nico asked, voice getting irritated...
"Huh?" RJ asked.
"Dude, stop pretending or you will be bruised and blue by tomorrow.  I told not to upset Mendoza and yet you did? In our own house? Speak up or leave Mendoza now!!!" Nico said in a stern voice.
RJ was forced to picture himself without Mendoza on his side and he cannot help but cried in tears...
"Dude, tell me honestly, how rich are you?" RJ asked, sitting himself in the table, bowing his head off for this "humiliation".
"Does it matter?" Nick asked... "I want an honest answer!" Nico added...
"What if I am failure at hindi ko maibigay ang mga bagay na kailangan ni Mendoza? What if I failed to bring the restaurant up to its former glory and even failed to give her things that will make her happy?" RJ asked.
"Faulkerson, umayos ka! What prompted this?" Nico asked.
"We were just discussing some of your businesses and hers alone, and out of nothing, it just sinked in kung gaano kayo kalayo sa akin!" RJ asked and wipe his tears.
"Did Mendoza hinted something about wanting more than what she have?" Nico asked.
"No! She just casually discuss things with me!" RJ said suddenly to depend Mendoza...
"See? Casual... Coz that's what Mendoza is... Until now ba, you have doubts?" Nico asked.
"Yes, kasi, dude, honestly, hindi ko kakayanin pag iniwan ako ni Mendoza.  I can't see my future without her on it... Ikakamatay ko, tol!" RJ closed his eyes, as if trying to erase the picture off his mind.
"E yun naman pala e... Dude, you have been with Mendoza for months now and you know how simple my baby sister is.  And you of all people should know that she is after emotional stability rather than material stability.  She needs someone dependable in heart department and you falter? Paano kita pagkakatiwalaan na hindi mo nga siya sasaktan?" Nico asked.
"Natatakot ako na iiwan niya rin ako pag hindi ko maibigay ang mga bagay na deserve niya... Baka pag hindi na siya kuntento sa kayang ko ibigay, bigla na lang mawawala!" RJ said still crying..
"Ganun ba talaga ang tingin mo sa akin?" Maine said.  Both Nico and RJ was startled upon hearing her voice.
"O siya mag-usap kayo.. Faulkerson, umayos ka, bibigwasan talaga kita!" Nico said then leave the two to talked alone...

"Mahal, sorry..!" RJ said.
"You told me you love me and yet you doubted me?" Maine asked coldly.
"Sorry, I don't doubt your feelings but I am doubting myself if I deserve your heart!" RJ said, still crying.
"Why?" Maine asked.
"Coz I can't promise you all the comforts of the world just like you have right now... I can't promise you a bed of roses when I don't even have enough money to take you to fancy restaurants nor take you out of the country, even in Hongkong Disneyland coz I don't have spare money to do that.  Every penny I am spending right now is to fend my family and pull them out of creditors... I can't even afford to buy you a dozen of Ecuadorian roses to prove to you that's how much I adore you!" RJ explained without looking at her, feeling embarrassed...
"RJ, looked at me... look me in the eyes...!" Maine beg RJ and she was in the verge of crying when she saw how much doubt he had in his heart.  She felt his embarrassment and her love for him guided her to uplift this man she truly love...
"RJ, Disneyland as their slogan says is the happiest place on Earth, but believe me, in your arms, you hugging me, is my happiest place on this Earth.  Your arms is my rollercoaster as you stir all my emotions in one go.  Your hug makes me feel giddy, loved, cherished, and cared unlike Disneyland's... It tossed me without a care if I fall or if I am comfortable enough in my seat!" Maine explained as she dried his tears using her palm. 
"RJ, I don't want Ecuadorian roses or any high-priced flower arrangement because it can feed many kids in our foundation.  I will only want hawhaw and mikmik from time to time to add up to my happiness meter.  By the way, my happiness meter is always on a 100% when I am with you... Extra happiness na lang yung mikmik and hawhaw ko...!" Maine said and kissed him on his nose.  This made RJ smiled despite tears...
"RJ, I don't like fancy restaurants because as a chef myself, I know the injustice on some of its cooked food, imagine carbonara with tuyo lang, more than 300 pesos na young price... I only want to help you in your restaurants coz that will help your family... My family outside my real family... And I am happy you are helping them.  That only means you value family as much as I value them...!" And Maine kissed him on his forehead.
"So please, stop this nonsense... Your fear will not happen if and only you accepted that you are not a failure but instead a blessing to me and to everybody...!" Maine said and give him a peck on the lips.
"Oh, god! I don't know what did I do in this life to deserve you, but I thank our God, for giving you to me... I promise to love you till the end of this lifetime and if I will have another lifetime, I promised to look for you and love you again more than life itself...!" RJ said and hugged Maine tightly...
"And I, too, mahal!" Maine said, hugging him back...

"I am now ready to give away my baby girl on this man... Thank you, Lord for this man.  I know he will take care of her more than I can...!" Mr. Mendoza said as he slowly walked back to their room.  He was there the whole time of the confrontation and was convinced by this young man without him knowing it...
