Nicomaine is currently on her third year in secondary education at DLSU... It was family week and everyone were busy... Parlor games, booths of all kinds and sports competitions... The usual... One girl is currently alone and not even interested in joining the intramurals... However, since she was an obedient student and it was required, she attended the event... Her friends after convincing her to enjoy the fair (to no avail) left her on that spot and roam without her... She refuse to join them coz she claimed she will only tire herself but will not enjoy... She just don't fancy the fair...
All the while she is sitting, she is not aware that her brother and Sam are looking at her, they are currently on the event since it is open to former students as well as the alumnus... The two are currently planning to get Nicomaine to enjoy the fair... Even if it takes to "date" hellish Nicomaine...
"Nicolas, what the hell are you doing?" Sigaw ni Nicomaine ng bigla siyang hilahin ng dalawa...
"Pag hindi ninyo ako binitiwan, pagsisihan ninyo!"
Nagtinginan lang ang dalawa...
"Nicomaine naman, gusto lang namin na samahan mo kami... Ikaw ang legit na estudyante dito ngayon, kami former na!"
"E di hanapin nyo yung mga dati ninyo ng barkada at kayo ang magdate! Sabi ng bitawan ninyo ako or...!"
"Hindi ka namin bibitawan... At gusto lang namin kahit isang booth lang kasama ka namin... Kahit yung unang booth lang...! Sige na!"
"Hindi... Isa... Dalawa...!"
"Oppps! Isa lang, couz... Sige na aalis na lang ako wala man lang ako remembrance sa iyo! Kahit one booth lang, 1st booth na makita natin, solve na ako!"
Tiningnan sila ng pagkatalim-talim ni Nicomaine... She almost snort like a dragon! At they vowed that they will keep everything on the path of Nicomaine after this!
"You make sure that this is the first and the last or hell hath no fury on my part will happen on both of you!"
"Oo! Promise!"
"Eto na yung first booth! Tara na ng matapos na!"
"Sigurado ka, Nicomaine? Walang bawian ha?"
"Bakit ko babawiin, ano bang ---?" Natigilan si Nicomaine...
There in bold letters written the word - FORTUNE TELLING...
"Shit! Of all booths...!" Maine cursed...
Alam ng dalawa na "funny" si Nicomaine... She even sometimes think that fate has do to in anything that happens on her day to day life... At nakaisip ng kapilyuhan ang dalawa...
"Oh, paano ba yan first booth and this will be the last as promised! Hahaha... Let's go!"
"Can we go somewhere else? I just don't want to be in this booth?!" Maine plead...
"No, we made a pact and that's how it will be...!
