Bow ran laughing after her brother and sister, Dylan and Arrow. They split off in opposite directions, trying to confuse Bow and escape. She chased after Dylan, he wasn't quite as fast as Arrow. As she got nearer, Bow jumped and tackled Dylan. "Oof." He fell down under Bow. She giggled, "You're it now!" and jumped off him. "Oh, I'll get you now, you little furball!" He hopped up and ran after her. Bow squeaked and ran quickly towards the woods to hide in the trees. She was a good climber, but Dylan was afraid of heights. Bow crashed through a bush and then into a soft lump that fell down under her. "Bow!" Squealed the lump. "Get your fluffy butt off me before Dylan gets us!" Bow rolled off Arrow into a pile of wet moss and tried to muffle her squeak as she saw her brother poking along the bushes. "Where's furball and sharpie?" He mewed, using their nicknames in hopes of making them giggle. It almost worked, but not quite. Bow stifled her laugh enough as she scrambled up a tree, then she crawled along  a branch above Dylan and meowed at him. He looked up and scowled. "That's cheating Bow!" But he didn't complain when Arrow started laughing and he pounced on her. "Gotcha!" He yelled. Arrow squealed and as Bow started giggling she fell off the branch and onto her siblings. "Bow!" They yelled in unison. "Sorry! I didn't mean to I fell..." Bow apologized quickly. "Yeah right." Arrow growled. "My paw hurts ow get off now!" Bow and Dylan scrambled off of Arrow. "Are you ok?" Asked Dylan. "It HURTS. Get Mommy!" Whined Arrow. "I-I'm sorry!" Bow said again and Dylan ran off to get their mom. "Well that's why five year olds shouldn't climb trees." Arrow growled and looked down at her paw, which looked a little swollen but didn't look broken. Bow looked down sadly, she was good at climbing! She rose to her paws and looked toward the house, where Dylan and Mommy were running from. A second later Daddy emerged from the blue back door and made his way over too. Everyone crowded around Arrow except Bow, who stood back and watched with concern. After a minute, Mommy picked up Arrow and carried her to the house. Dylan followed, but Daddy stayed back with Bow. "What happened, furball?" He asked. Bow looked down. "I fell out of the tree onto Arrow... I didn't mean to..." She whispered. "She said you jumped on her." "Well I didn't... I wouldn't do that Daddy!" Tears came to Bow's eyes. "Ok sweetie, whatever you say..." He said uncertainly and gave her a little hug. Bow sighed. "I'm gonna go for a walk... Tell Arrow I'm sorry I fell." "Ok." Bow was already leaving by the time he responded. She started running as she got farther into the woods until she reached a big willow tree covered in tiny white blossoms. Bow climbed up the tree and sat in a moss covered fork in the branches. She thought about what happened, what she could say to make everyone believe it was an accident, until she fell asleep.

Bow was startled awake by someone pulling her down. She twisted around and grabbed onto a branch, which snapped off. She twisted around again and saw a black wolf she'd never seen before, and screamed. He gave a big tug, and she hit her head on a branch really hard. Bow whimpered and slid into unconciousness.
