First off: A warning to any of my male readers... bring out the tissues guys. I don't know if you'll be able to handle the emotions... ;)

Secondly, stole the song from Scrubs but it fits this chapter super well. Please listen to it.

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?

Chapter Eleven

Connect | Dizelde

I was terribly bored. Not that the sport of Gaelic football wasn't interesting, but I couldn't concentrate on the screen for long. And I couldn't change the channel to something that was easier to watch because Larkin was holding the remote... and he still hadn't left the room. I was now sitting on the edge of the bed, far away from where he was slouched on the desk chair.

"I'm telling you that if they had just played Darragh in half-forward or at least midfield, instead of full-back, they would have had way more shots at goal..."

I'd learned that he just needed to talk, and didn't necessarily need to receive answers from me. I nodded as he continued to vent as if I knew what he was going on about. I was slowly understanding the rules and some of the terms; solo, handpass, and also the difference between a goal and a point, but when he started going into players and positions, I was lost.

There was a knock at the door and it creaked open to reveal the redheaded Kayli. I still wasn't sure about this girl. She was nearly a head shorter than me, so I wasn't afraid of her, which was a relief. But she seemed so closed off and it made me wonder if she'd already judged me and decided not to bother becoming friends, which saddened me. I'd never had a friend.

"What are you watching...?" She started to look at the screen but then realised Larkin was in the room and snapped her head towards him. "I heard your conversation with Liam, you're not supposed to be in here."

He didn't even shift upright, just grinned. "Didn't want her feeling lonely in this big strange house."

I pulled my legs up to sit cross-legged on the bed. "He doesn't like following orders, so apparently I have to suffer for it."

Kayli snorted with laughter, covering her mouth with her hand and Larkin tore his gaze of the game to frown sternly at me.

"Allow me to teach you the best way to get rid of a guy," Kayli smiled mischievously. "Girl talk."

Larkin lifted one foot up to rest on his knee and linked his fingers behind his head with a crooked smile.

"Shoes," Kayli added.

She was cut off as Larkin jumped up hurriedly. "Okay, I just remembered I have things that need doing somewhere."

He stalked out and Kayli chuckled. He stopped at the door, glaring solemnly at both of us. "Don't think that you're scaring me off, Hunter-witch. I'm just making sure that Garth doesn't take advantage of both of us being with Dizelde to get some peace."
