Chapter 47

       Hoodie nodded, he seemed to understand the story now.

"How did you even find us there?" I asked, curious.

"O-oh, I-I h-heard s-screaming.." Hoodie explained.

I nodded. 

"B-but y-you're r-really o-okay?" Hoodie asked.

I nodded again.

Before I could say anything later after that, surprisingly, I felt something wrap around me tightly. I tilted my head around to see Hoodie wrapping his arms around me tightly. My cheeks suddenly blushed bright pink.

"W-what are you d-doing?!" I asked, alarmed.

"J-just a-a little l-longer p-please.." Hoodie murmured in my ear.

"I-I w-was really w-w-worried a-about y-you.." Hoodie said.

Both of us stood there hugging each other before I pulled away, smiling.

"Hey, it's okay. Alright?" I said, rubbing his back.

Hoodie nodded. 

Even though he had that stitched frown behind his hoodie,

I could see that he was smiling, from behind.

          "So, what did Hoodie say?" Jack asked, once I returned.

"Just asking about what happened." I said, sitting down next to him on the bed.

Jack nodded. "But nothing else?" 

I thought about that for a minute. 

"No- *hic!*" 

Jack stared at me, with my cheeks blushing pink from embarrassment. 

"Okay, fine. He did something else too." I said.

"Like what?" Jack asked, squinting his eyes at me as he leaned back.

"He just hugged me, that's all." I replied back cooly.

"Oh," Jack said.

From the way he was looking at me, I could tell that he hid the hurt inside him. I felt bad for him so I decided to cheer him up by doing something.

"It's not like that," I said, stretching my arms out and hugging him.

Jack jerked back, surprised as I hugged him, but slowly released the tension and hugged me back as well.

"So you forgive me?" I asked, listening to his heartbeat beat very slowly.

'Thump.' 

'Thump.'

"I forgive you," Jack said. 

Silence had passed between us except the slow heartbeats of Jack's heart. Ever so slowly, thumping and thumping.

'Thump.'

'Thump.'

'Thump.'
