Chapter 13

           I awoke to the sound of the clock ticking. I slowly opened my eyes and numbly got up. I made my way to the door and opened it a little bit. I poked my head outside the door and slipped out. I knocked on the first door that caught my eye. I softly knocked on it and waited for the owner to respond it. Seconds later, I saw the familiar 'Jack' clown peeping out of the door. 

"Oh, hey." He yawned.

I nodded back in respond.

"Do you know where the washroom is?" I asked, embarrassed.

He nodded towards the opposite room across his.

"Thanks." I said, before disappearing through the washroom.

        The washroom was surprisingly clean. Towels were placed neatly above the shelf, next to the marble sink. The shower was medium sized, not too big, not too small.  I turned the faucet, linked to the sink and felt cold water running through my arms. I splashed the water onto my face, fully waking me up. I looked towards the mirror to see my old face, but something was different. I looked closely, and for the first time, I saw my eyes were sparkling.
