Feeling unsure, I decided to go tell Jack. He was always the one who would calm me down. I went out into the hallway and knocked on Jack's door. I leaned my ear against the door to see if he had heard my knock. There was nothing but silence ringing in my ears. I decided to knock one more time before the door opened, causing me to fall headfirst to the ground once again. I closed my eyes, ready to accept the banging of my head against the cold hard floor but the blow didn't arrive. In fact, I didn't even feel the cold hard floor. It was surprisingly warm and not hard. I opened my eyes to see myself on top of Jack. My cheeks flushing bright pink, I apologized and struggled to get up. I brushed myself off and headed back towards my room. I made such a fool of myself in front of Jack. Still blushing, I flopped across the bed and sighed. Then my mind wandered to the thought where I was on top of Jack. I could feel my cheeks getting red as I thought about the warm layer that had saved me from my doom.
