Few minutes later, Jack came back bringing a plate of food and drinks towards me.
"Not sure what normal people eat, but it's the best selection there is." He said.
I nodded and scraped the food with my fork. In the corner of my eye.
"Do you mind not watching me while I eat." I murmured.
He chuckled and ruffled my hair.
"Sure thing cupcake." he smiled.
I flinched and pushed his hand away. Should I try asking about the thing where he saved me from death? I mean, he looked.. really peaceful.. I didn't want to disturb him. Maybe I'll ask about it later?
"What are you thinking about?" He asked.
"Nothing." I replied.
Minutes later, I hiccuped.
Jack eyed me and asked, "Are you okay?" "Why are you hiccuping?"
I nodded. "It's just this thing I have, where if I lie, I hiccup."
Crap. Did I just really tell him about my deepest secret?
Jack stared across the room. "So you were thinking about something and you lied? Is that why you hiccuped?" He asked.
I nodded. Too embarrassed to admit it.
He whispered really soft under his breath so I couldn't hear him. "That's cute.." He whispered softly.
