I sat in silence as the popular kids made fun of my purple hair. No, it wasn't my natural color, I dyed it, and personally, I loved it.
"Hey, nerds, leave her alone."
I turned to see a tall blonde guy with some others.
Ace Merrill and the Cobras.
The bullies quickly left, looking scared.
The Cobras left, besides one.
He had brown hair and brown eyes.
"You good?"
He sat beside me.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Don't listen to them. You're really pretty. I'm Eyeball Chambers."
He seemed nice, but I had heard some rumors about him and his family. I didn't really care, though.
"Thanks, I'm Maddie." I said.
Eyeball smiled, "So, you doing anything right now?"
"No, besides talking to you."
He laughed. "Wanna go to the diner with me?"
"Sure!" I said, and he took my hand and we left together.
