July 7th, 1988
It was a sunny, warm summer day. Me and my closest guy friend Wil decided to spend it at the beach. Instead of getting in the ocean right away, we layed towels down and sat on them.
We didn't say anything for a while, just watched the crashing waves.
"I'm so glad schools out." Wil said.
"Yeah, me too."
Wil looked over to me, smiled, then looked back to the ocean.
I felt a little awkward, I've always liked Wil more than a friend. But I thought he liked the popular girl of the school, Alyssa (Milano).
"(Y/N), who do you like?"
"What?" I was thinking about how I liked him then he asked that?
"You like Corey (Haim) don't you?"
"No, he's cute and all, but no." I laughed.
"Oh," Wil said.
"I like you." I said quietly, taking a chance.
Wil looked at me with a smile, "I like you too." He kissed my cheek.
"Would you be my girlfriend?"
"I'd love to."
