Chapter 7: Annabeth

After I left Percy alone I decided to get some sleep-- ha sleep more like endless nightmares... More worse now after Tartarus. I wanted to talk to Percy about it but that wouldn't work out. Sometimes I wonder what it's like to be a normal person having normal dreams. I got ready for bed but was scared to sleep so I went to Percy's room but he wasn't there. I decided to lay on his bed anyways. It smelled like the sea which was comforting. Soon I went to sleep.

We were on our way to Damansen's house, my hand in Percy's. Then suddenly his hand went cold. PERCY WAKE UP! I tried screaming but my voice didn't work. I tried to feel a pulse on his wrist but there wasn't one. I started crying trying to shake him awake. DON'T DIE ON ME PERCY! YOU PROMISED WE'LL BE TOGETHER! But it was useless. His face went slack the color leaving his face. Then I heard Gaea's voice

This may not be reality but I can make it happen. If you want Percy Jackson to stay alive join me.

She showed me Percy he was in chains. There were scrapes everywhere on his face an his nails were in sharp angles like he tried to claw his way out. He looked dead but I can see the shaky breaths he was trying to take

I need blood of a female and male. Come Annabeth and you shall help me rise to a better future with your boyfriend. Tell me, what has the gods done for you? Athena rejected her own daughter and didn't even help you while you were in tartarus. Hera separated you from Percy Jackson for 8 months. And Aphrodite turned your love life into turmoil. The gods don't care. Join Me. JOIN ME!

I woke with a start. "PERCY!" I screamed.
