Jue.

I was standing and all I decided to do was brace myself. Terrance drew his hand back and sent his fist to my face as soon as they passed through the double doors. I stumbled back a small degree and held my jaw. I blocked my face with one arm as he sent more after another.

"Imma kill you jue." He spoke through gritted teeth and gripped my shirt, pulling me towards him. I looked sadly into his face as he did mine. Amir grabbed him by his arm and pulled him back causing him to let me go.

"Calm down T." Amir told him and kept his hand to Terrance chest. I sat back in the hard, chilly seats as I felt Terrance glares against my face.
Then, I felt a slap to my face and had just realized Macei came in with him.

"How could you!" She yelled as her tears and saliva combined. Amir pulled her back too and sat her down next to Terrance. I felt horrible and it's been forty five minutes with no feedback.

"I'm sorry." I say and place my head in my hands. I still haven't even changed clothes or anything. The dried blood up on my shirt kept reminding me and my guiltiness was undescribable.

"You can't do one simple thing and that's watch your fucking nephew and keep him safe! You ain't getting him again, ever!" Terrance shouted to me. I expected that.

"First you lose him then you get my son shot!? Where the fuck did you take him? Where –wait a minute. You're that friend you was telling me about!? Got niggas after your ass and didn't tell me—" he stopped mid sentence before flying out his chair and towards me.

Amir was blocking him again as I only shook my head still sitting. I held Tevon's cape, caressing it with my thumb as I thought. I tried blocking out Terrance but it didn't help much cause he was right and if I was in their positions at this moment, I'd be furious too.

"Move Amir." Terrance said calmly but I knew he was far from that. I stood to my feet again and handed the cape to Macei. She weeped harder, hugging it to her face tightly. I passed by Terrance and Amir.

"I'm going to handle it." I looked back at their faces as Terrance held a confused one.

"Are you crazy? They're gangs! They'll kill you. You'll be right in here too." I tucked my lips and licked over them.

"Isn't that what you want?" He only looked at me with the same expression when I said that. I nodded from the confirmation.

"Jue, man, sit down." Amir persuaded but I shook my head no then pushed the doors out forward to exit. I looked around and took a deep lung filling breath of the fresh air.

I got into my shambled truck and crunk it. It started to have problems for a moment but finally fired up. I looked at my passenger seat as the blood stains dried against it. I sighed deeply and decided to take back roads to Big Will's to continue to avoid police.

I made it there successfully and he just so happened to be outside, smoking on the porch alongside other guys. I shut my door easy and walked up to the porch slowly. Even though I've been here more than once, about three guys still pointed their revolvers toward me.

"What's going on lil man Jue?" Will asked, looking up towards me with a crooked eyebrow.

"This shit too much. Y'all can keep the money but don't pull up on them. I realized this isn't going to stop and if I'm in the middle of it, they'll stay after me. My nephew got shot today. I don't need that again with someone else around me. I just don't want to be in the middle of it anymore. I don't care if I sound scary or whatever but I'd rather make peace."
