His eyes slowly open, looking around and reaching over, but the bed beside him empty. Liam looks over to confirm, not seeing Sloane laying beside him. Yawning a little, he gets up and pulls some shorts on and heading downstairs. He walks into the kitchen, seeing the note by the paper and the ultrasound picture.

          "Congratulations," the note scrawled.

Sighing a little, he pours the coffee in a thermos before heading back upstairs and getting dressed, heading to work. Once arriving, he sits down, beginning the paperwork and expense reports.

"Hey, didn't expect to see you here," Javier smiles.

"Yeah just doing some expense reports, what's up? Why are you here?"

"Just finishing some projects. How have you been? Haven't seen you in forever," Javier smiles, sitting down at a chair in front of Liam's desk.

"A lot on my mind," Liam shrugs. "So guess who came to my house at like four this morning?"

"Twenty-one? I saw her yesterday at the bar," Javier says without thinking.

"Yeah," Liam nods. "She saw the DNA test and ultrasound picture on my kitchen island this morning and left. Left me a note that said congratulations."

"Did you expect her to stay after seeing that?"

"I didn't expect her to come to my house at four in the morning either or I would have hidden it."

"You ashamed of it? You're going to be a dad man."

"I mean no, but I have to be in this women's life for eighteen years. We all know she's insane."

"Yeah? So, take her to court and get custody. You're guaranteed to win."

"Who knows bro. I think Sloane's had enough of me," Liam laughs a little.

"Do you blame her?" Javier grins. "She's set in life. Marry suits, have little suit babies, be taken care of for life," he sighs. "What's she get with you? A crazy ex, a kid that's not hers and a construction worker. I love you man I do, but you two are from two different worlds."

          "Yeah I know," he sighs.

          "You love her, don't you?"

"Yeah, dude I do. I haven't felt this way about someone in a long ass time."

           "Since Stacey?"

          "Yeah," Liam nods, "since her."

"What are you going to do?" Javier asks, Liam spiraling down bad after everything with Stacey two years ago.

"I guess I'm gonna tell her. I'm gonna tell her about Stacey. She's the reason I am the way I am but not getting attached you know?"

"I know. I'll see you later man," Javier says heading out and Liam finishing his work.
