Chapter 50

Almost 2 weeks, Dennise's still in comatose. Sabi ng Doctor, she's good, stable ang kalagayan niya ngayon. They're just waiting for her to wake up.

"I think she didn't drink her medicines. Did she?" tanong ng Doctor.

"I don't know, Doc. Pero hindi ko siya nakitang iniinom yung gamot niya. Naiwan niya nga rin po 'yun nung pumunta siya ng Batanes." kwento ng ina ni Dennise.

All of them are still in Dennise' room. Minsan papalit-palit sila ng nagbabantay. Araw-araw nananalangin.

"Did she felt something nung nasa Batanes siya?" tanong ni Doc.

Tumingin kay Alyssa ang ina ni Dennise. Dahil siya ang kasama nito sa Batanes.

Naalala naman ni Alyssa...

"Her lips turned pale. She breathes heavily. Tapos parang hinihilot niya pa yung dibdib niya noon. She almost faint. Nag-usap sila ng Doctor doon sa loob. Hindi ako pinapasok kaya hindi ko na narinig pinag-usapan nila, Tita. Yeah. I remembered something happened to her sa Batanes." kwento ni Alyssa.

"It's the effect of the medicine. She did not take it regularly. I'm afraid this could have great effect to her, Mrs. Lazaro." sabi ni Doc. "Masyado ba siyang nalungkot? Nasiyahan? Did she overthink again? Kinulong sarili para mapag-isa? Iyak ng iyak? Did she do the things I prohibited, Mrs?"

Alyssa's teammates looked at her. They know what happened. The things Den felt.

Mrs. Lazaro also looked at Alyssa, "She did. She was sad. But before that she felt so much happiness. She did overthink, I guess." she then turned her look to the doctor. "She was depressed. Kinulong ang sarili sa kwarto and cried all night long. Every night. She was hurt. She felt mixed emotions, Doc."

"It's bad, Mrs. I already told you for her  to avoid those things. It's not good for her health. Maybe that's why it happened." sabi ni Doc. "All we can do now is to wait for her to wake up and then we'll check her up. I'll go now, Mrs. Lazaro."

Lumabas na ang doctor. They all sighed.

"This is all my fault." Alyssa said.

"Ly, no one wanted this to happen." -Mika

Halos wala ng tulog si Alyssa. Hindi man lang siya umuuwi sa bahay nila. dumi-diretso siya sa condo niya. Ayaw niyang makita ang kanyang ama. Minu-minuto itong tumatawag sakanya pero hindi niya ito sinasagot.

"Kung pinaglaban ko lang siya kay Papa sana hindi siya nasaktan." sabi ni Alyssa na nakaupo sa upuan sa tabi ni Dennise. Hawak-hawak niya kamay nito. "Tita, I'm sorry. I should have fight for her."

"Naintindihan kita, Anak. Hindi mo kailangan humingi ng tawad." sabi ng ina ni Dennise. Kasama na nito si Kyle. Nakahiga lang ito sa tabi ni Dennise at nakayakap.

Nakayuko na lang si Alyssa. Hindi man nila ginusto yung nangyari, hindi pa rin maiwasan ni Alyssa na sisihin ang sarili.

"Ly, are you sure? Okay ka lang ba dito? We'll wait for Tita para may kasama ka." sabi ni Jirah.

Silang tatlo na lang ang natira dahil umuwi muna ang iba nilang teammates. May inasikaso naman saglit sa labas.

"No. I'm fine. You should go, Guys. I know you're tired. You need to take a rest." sabi ni Alyssa.

"You need it too, Ly." sabi ni Marge. "I know you're tired too."

"No, I'm fine. I won't get tired waiting for Dennise to wake up. She's my strength." Alyssa said and smiled. "You should get going. It's getting late na rin."
