Chapter 40: Promises

"There, I'm done playing." sabi ni Alyssa.

"I like it. I mean, I actually love it." Dennise said while smiling.

"I won't play that ever, again." sabi ni Alyssa.

"But why? It's a beautiful song." Alyssa looked at Dennise seriously. "What?"

"Dennise, seriously, I'm starting to get nervous." Alyssa said with a worried eyes.

"Aaww. My Alyssa..." niyakap niya naman si Alyssa na nakaupo. "There's nothing to be nervous."

"You can't stop me from getting worried. Lalo na nalaman ko yung sakit mo." Alyssa said.

"You know what? Let's just enjoy this night and the day tomorrow." Dennise said.

"Okay."

Lumabas naman sila at naupo sa isang tabi.

"Alam mo ba? Hindi ako nakapag-prom. Hindi rin ako nakapag-debut." sabi ni Dennise.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah."

"But why?"

"Nung prom kasi, hindi ako okay that time. Masama yung pakiramdam ko. As in, hindi ako makabangon. Noong 18th birthday ko naman, bakit na nga yun? Nakalimutan ko na rin."

"Sayang naman."

"Yeah. So, wala pa rin akong first dance."

"Really? Well, akong magigi mong first dance." Alyssa said with a smile.

Dennise smiled back.

The two just enjoyed their night together. They watched the stars twinkling from above. Wishing whenever shooting stars came out. Adding memories they have. Feeling like they're never letting go with each other. Feeling the love in each one of them. Giving all their best and all their love. Saying those cheesy words Alyssa have. Even the corniest words Alyssa spilled out. They felt like they have their own world.

Next morning, Alyssa spend her whole day with Dennise at the medical mission. After the medical mission, Alyssa brought Dennise to the Tukon Chapel.

"What are we doing here?" tanong ni Dennise.

"We'll plan for our wedding." sabi ni Alyssa na abot tenga ang ngiti.

Natawa naman si Dennise dahil sa kakulitan ni Alyssa. Naupo naman sila sa hulihan na part.

They talked about their much-awaited wedding. Lol. They planned and planned. Giving their own opinions. Suggesting every details. And even planning their guests. What wedding they want. What motif, how many guests, when will it happen at marami pang iba. Wala pa man din pero excited na sila pareho.

"Promise me, Dennise. Everything will happen. Everything like we've planned."

"I promise."

"My first wish is ready, my Genie." sabi ni Alyssa.

"Haha. What is it?"

"Stay with me," Alyssa said that cause Dennise to smile. "forever and always."

"Your wish is my command. Granted." Dennise said and smiled.

Alyssa hugged Dennise tightly like she won't let go whatever happens. Humiwalay na si Alyssa sa yakap at hinila si Dennise papuntang kotse. Nag-drive naman na si Alyssa.
