Chapter 11: Flashback

Alyssa's POV

Ilang araw na simula nung interview. Ilang araw na rin kaming hindi nagkikibuan ni Dennise. Parang umiiwas siya eh. Hinahayaan ko muna. Baka magalit sakin.

Dumaan muna ako isang coffee shop. Pangpaalis hangover lang. Ang sakit sa ulo.

Papunta na ako ngayon sa condo ko. Magpapahinga muna ako. Tahimik dun eh. Pero bago yun dumaan muna ako sa Makati. Pumunta ako sa bahay ni Dennise. Pagdating ko doon, nakita ko ang guard nila.

"Kuya, pakibigay na lang kay Kyle. Paki-sabi sakanya, galing kay Ate Aly." bilin ko sa guard nila.

"Ah sige po, Ma'am. Iaabot ko po." sagot niya.

Umalis na ako at dumiretso na ako sa condo. Diretso akong humiga pagdating ko sa kwarto.

"Haay. Tanging higaan ko na lang ang nakakaintindi sakin." sabi ko.

Tumayo ako at naglakad ako papunta sa isang kwarto kung saan nandoon ang mga picture namin ni Rach. Nakasabit lang sila na may tali. Yung iba nakadikit sa pader. Pumunta ako sa table kung saan nandoon ang camera na ginamit ko sa bawat litratong ito namin ni Rach. Lahat na alaala naming dalawa, bumalik sa isip ko.

Tiningnan ko yung isang picture kung saan dun ako unang umamin kay Rach.

Flashback

"Uy! Singkit! Saan mo ba ako dadalhin?!" rinig kong tanong ni Rach. Naka-blindfold pa siya. I guess, she's already here.

Ako naghanda nito lahat. Hinanda ko rin sarili ko dito pero nandito ako kinakabahan ng sobra. Puno ng what ifs sa utak ko.

She started walking. Inalis niya na rin yung blindfold. Nilibot niya lang ang tingin niya. Kinakabisado ang lugar

The song started to play...

Hindi man super romantic 'tong kanta, pero malalim naman ang pinaghuhugutan ko dito.

"That's the song you were singing when I met you..." I said with the mic on. She still can't see me. It's dark out here.

"You sung it the second time. When we're already bestfriends."

"I guess it fits perfectly for what I feel for you." she can't see me but I can see her. She's just following the lights towards me. She's shocked of what's happening right now. "You're not that hard to fall in love with. But it's hard to take this risk."

She's so close to me but she can't still see me. I hold her hand. And then the lights on. She was so shocked when she saw me.

"Lucky I'm in love with...you, My bestfriend."

Hindi siya nagsalita. Dun na ako kinabahan. Galit ba siya? Iiwasan niya na ba ako?

"I-I'm sorry. Nabigla yata kita. I didn't mean...I didn't mean to fall in-love with you." I said. I hope this won't be the last time I'll be this close to her. "Sana hindi ka galit. Sana hindi mo ako iwa--"

She cut me off by putting her forefinger on my lips.

"Shh! Why would I be mad at the person I love and who loves me too?" she ask while smiling.
