Chapter Twenty Five

It had been week since that incident. After Wali tried to slapped her, without any explanation she walked out from the room and cried. She looked around and sat up on bed. It had been week but god damn pain was still so fresh in her heart with his words. She got inside restroom and took long slow shower to calm herself down. After taking shower she walked downstairs where Wali was eating food sitting all alone on table. He looked up at her and their eyes met. She coldly looked at him then sat on the chair while totally ignoring his intense gaze on her. She put food in her plate and started eating. He looked at her for a while then got back to his food. They were eating in silence while she was trying to eat food really fast so she could got up from here. But suddenly while eating, food stuck in her thoart and she started couching really badly. Wali quickly looked at her then put water in the glass and passed it to her. She was couching really badly but she quickly get hold of jug and poured water in the glass for herself then drank it while totally ignoring the glass which Wali passed it to her. After drinking the water when she calmed down a bit she put back the glass when at a same moment Wali quickly got up from his chair and walked out whereas tears coming out from her eyes. It was so hard for her to ignored him and hurt him but she was doing it. She wanted to taste him his own medicine. She was thinking when Aisha walked inside and looked at her face.

'Is everything okay Talia?' Aisha asked and she looked at her.

'Yes, everything is fine.' Talia said and looked at Aisha who was looking at her. Aisha don't know what really happened between two them but she could felt tension between them from past week. Aisha sighed and started cleaning the table. She was about to picked up the glass of water which Wali passed to her but Talia stopped her.

'Don't pick up the glass.' Talia said and Aisha confused looked at her whereas Talia picked up the glass and drank it. She put away the glass and Aisha was looking at her. Talia looked at her shocked face and sighed.

'He gave me that water to drink. How I can not have the thing which he gave me.' Talia said in her defend then stood up and started walking towards upstairs while Aisha was shocked staring at her back. Aisha don't understand what should she called her insane , mad or lover. Aisha thought then sighed and got back to her work.

Aisha entered and looked at Talia who was sitting on the sofa while in deep thoughts while television was on , but she was in her own wonderland.

'Talia.' Aisha called for her and she snapped her head towards her.

'I find this bag in sitting room.' Aisha said and Talia looked at her.

'Oh, Yeah that is mine. I might left it in sitting room after coming from shopping yesterday.' Talia said and Aisha passed the bag to her. As she tried to got hold of bag it fell down from
their hand and everything came out.

'I am sorry.' Aisha said and at the same time the house phone ring. They snapped their head towards phone.

'I will go and get the phone.' Talia said and walked towards house phone.

'Hello.' She said but no replied

Hello, who is it?' Talia said but there was still silence on other line. But she knew someone was on other line as she could heard the person's breathing sound.

'Hello, speak up who is there?' Talia said but no replied , and then phone cut off. She confused looked at phone then put it back and walked back in the sitting room.

'Who was it?' Aisha asked

'No body replied.' Talia said and bend down to picked up the things to helped Aisha.

'That is strange.' Aisha commented and she nodded her head in yes.

'I think some kind of kid was playing prank on me.' Talia said and Aisha nodded her head in agreement . Aisha put back everything in her bag , and then passed the bag to Talia. There was card laying next to table on floor which catches Talia attention.

'Aisha, I think you miss that Card.' Talia said and Aisha bend down then picked up the card, and passed it to her. Talia looked at the card and it says 'Al-Quran translation.' in bold writing. Then she remember that girl Yuman who gave that card to her when she was sitting in park looking at the couple. There was address written underneath and the class which would be starting from tomorrow. She sighed and put card back in her bag. Aisha looked at her.

'What happen?' Aisha asked.

'Nothing, I think I might start going on these classes since I have nothing to do.' Talia said and Aisha smiled to her.

'I think you should get busy to take off things from your brain.' Aisha said and Talia smiled to her.

'Thanks for a advice.' Talia said and Aisha just nodded her head in yes, and walked out. Talia sighed then leaned back her head on the sofa. After a while she felt her eye lid got heavy and within second she was sleeping. She opened her eyes slowly and looked around. It was night outside. She looked at her watch and it show ten Pm.  She quickly sat up and rubbed her eyes. She had been sleeping from five hours.

'Wali.' Talia whisper his name and then she got sad. She always waited for him all day to come back from work and she was always the first person standing at the door when he walked in the house , but now she was not be doing that from past week. She sighed and sat back.

'This man will be death for me.' Talia whisper to herself then she slowly got up and walked into Kitchen where Aisha looked up at her. Aisha smiled and she returned the smiled.

Finally, you are awake?' Aisha said and Talia nodded her head in yes.

'Is Wali here?'Talia asked and Aisha nodded her head in yes.

'He is in his room.' Aisha said then there was silence

'Shall  I warm up food for you.' Aisha asked after a while and Talia looked at her then nodded head in no.

'I think you should go home. It is quite late.' Talia said and Aisha looked at her.

'I was about to go. You think you will be fine.' Aisha asked and Talia nodded head in yes. Aisha said her goodbye to her and walked out of the house. Talia sighed and was about to walked upstairs when she heard house phone ringing again. She walked and picked up the phone.

'Hello.' Talia said and no replied

'Who is there?' Talia asked but there was silence.

'Listen, Why you are calling? You are the same one who called me in the day as well.' Talia asked but nothing. She sighed and was about to spoke up again when someone snatched phone from her ear.

'Hello.' Wali said and Talia sniffed with his presence which was right behind her. She didn't dared to moved.

'Who is it?' Wali asked but the line got cut off. Her heart was beating  loudly in her chest. She closed her eyes to calmed herself down. Wali put back the phone ,but didn't moved away from her behind , and they stayed still on their places without moving.

' Did someone blank call you in a day as well.' Wali asked after a while and Talia nodded her head in yes without looking back. He sighed.

'Some kid might be playing a trick on me.' Talia explained.

'Kid don't call at this time of night, Sweetheart.' Wali said and walked away whereas her heart skipped a beat for calling her Sweetheart. She shocked looked at his back who he just walked away without looking back, and disappeared. She took in deep breath then also walked towards her room.
