Chapter Thirteen

'And first love?' Wali asked and she freeze on her place. She looked up at him and he was looking at her.

'Ouch....' before she could replied to him. They heard a kid screamed and they looked at him. A small kid was crying while fell down on the floor. Wali quickly walked towards kid and she sighed in relief as she was save. She can't tell him that he was her first love.

'Are you alright.' Wali asked as he helped the kid to stood up.

'No, it is hurting.' Kid said innocently while crying.

'Where is your parents.' Wali asked and Talia was still standing far away looking at them.

'I don't know.' Kid said and start crying again.

'Okay, Stop crying.' Wali said helplessly but kid started crying even more loudly.

'Do you want ice cream?' Wali asked and Kid suddenly stopped crying and looked at him then start smiling and nodded his head in yes.

'I am coming. There is ice cream van standing right outside the gate.'Wali said to Talia and she nodded her head in yes. Then Wali get hold of kid's finger and start walking towards gate.

'Where is Wali?' Aalia asked as she stood next to Talia, and Talia looked up at her.

'He is just gone outside.' Talia replied and Aalia nodded her head in yes.

'How is your marriage life?' Aalia asked curiously and she nervously looked down.

'It is good.' Talia whisper quietly.

'I don't know but you two don't look like a newlyweds couple in love.' Aalia said carelessly but she anxiously looked at her.

'No, It is not like this. I am gone see where is Wali?' Talia quickly said to avoid any more questions regarding her marriage.

'Okay.' Aalia said while smiling and Talia sighed in relief as Aalia didn't asked any more questions regarding their married life. Talia turned over and quickly started walking towards gate. She walked out from the gate to find Wali but she couldn't see him any where on road. She looked all around but he was no never in the sight even ice cream Van was standing there all alone. She confused walked back in. Then she worried looked around and start walking toward Aalia to asked about him when she heard a kid's laughing and she looked back and there he was playing with kids. She stopped in her tracks and saw him. There were kids all around him and he was holding one kids in his arms and moving him around in a swing. Others kids were laughing while holding ice cream in their hands. She surprised looked at him then start smiling. He swing the kid once more when all other kids start laughing but this time he started laughing at her. Wholeheartedly real laugh. Talia was dumbfounded staring at him and his beautiful laugh when she noticed a dimple on his left cheek. Whenever he laugh a dimple formed on his cheek and it added more beauty in his laugh and face. She was lovingly staring at him when he suddenly looked up at her direction. He looked at her and she quickly looked away while her cheek heat up turning red with blushing because she caught red handed while checking him out. He put the kids back down on the ground then walked towards her.

'Is everything Okay?'nWali asked and she nodded her head in yes while looking down.

'I was looking for you.' Talia said to got rid of awkwardness in her and looked up at him.

'I am sorry. They said they want to play so I start playing with them.' Wali explained and she nodded her head in yes when they start walking back to their place.

'Welcome everyone.' Community Leader said while standing up on the stage. They diverted their attention towards stage.

'I hope you are enjoying here. Now is the time we are going to flow Lanterns in the sky.' Team leader said and came down from the stage.

'Here is your lantern and Matchbox' Aalia said to them while passing a lantern and matchbox. Talia got hold of lantern from her hand and Wali took our Matchbox.

'Thank you.' Talia said gratefully.

'All the best.' Aalia said and walked away.

'Is everyone ready.' Leader asked loudly and all of them nodded their head in yes while smiling. Talia excited look around when Wali lit up the lantern. They hold the lit lantern in the hands and Talia closed her eyes to wish. Wali was looking at her. She opened back her eyes after a while and looked at him. She blushed deep red when she saw him already staring at her.

'What did you ask?' Wali asked.

'You.' She said in her head while looking at him but could not gear up enough courage to said these words to him.

'Hello, Where have you lost?' Wali called out to her when he saw her in deep thoughts.

'It is rule not to tell anyone about your wish otherwise it will not fulfil.' Talia said and he shrugged his shoulder carelessly . Then they moved their lantern above their head just like everyone else while looking in each other eyes then let it flow in the sky. They looked up at the sky and sky was looking stupendous and magnificent as there were lanterns everywhere on the sky. They looked away when community leader announced that dinner was ready. They sighed then start walking towards table to had dinner with everyone else.

'Shall we go.' Wali asked as soon they finished having dinner and she nodded her head in yes while getting up. They said their goodbye to everyone and walked out towards their car.

'Wali, I have forget my bag inside. Give me moment.' Talia said as soon she remember she had forget her handbag inside. Wali nodded his head in yes and walked back inside to got her bag. Wali sat down in the car when his phone start ringing. He looked up at his phone and It was again unknown number. he knew who was calling him. He sighed then picked up the phone.

'What do you want?' Wali screamed as soon he picked the phone.

'Calm down Wali.' Man said and laughed.

'I don't have time to listen to your rubbish.' Wali yelled then cut off the phone without listening anything else when Talia  came back and sat down on front seat.

'I am sorry.'Talia mutter apology and he started the car and started speeding it away when she shocked looked at him.

'What happen Wali? Why you are speeding up the car. It is too fast.' Talia said while holding up on the sides of seat tightly to controlled her balance because car was too fast.

'Shut up.' Wali screamed and she was shocked looked at him. She didn't say anything else but she was worried with his suddenly changed mood and tone. 'He was so fine just a moment ago' Talia thought.

'Get out.' Wali yelled while stopping the car in front of their house, outside the gate. She worried  looked at him.

'Wali.......' She tried to say but he cut her off.

'I said get out.' Wali screamed and she quickly came out while he speedily speed away the car. Without second he vanished in a thin air and tears started falling off from her eyes. She cleaned them away then walked inside. Aisha was gone and there was silence everywhere. She walked in her room then changed her clothes and read night Salah (prayer). She asked Allah to make everything right in her life and gave her patience to deal with. Then she took our her diary and opened it to write. She sat down on the bed and start writing.

30th March:

It been two month since our marriage. He was being so nice to me from past few weeks. I though our relationship was getting better but then everything change. It feel like I was in dream land and now I am awake and same bitter relativity is in front of me where nothing is fine between us. I can wait for him all my life but I hope I don't have to wait all my life for him.

She closed her diary after finished writing it, and put it under her pillow. Then she looked at wall clock and it was Eleven in night. He was still not back yet. She couldn't sleep peacefully if he was not at home. After an hour waiting in her bed restlessly when she heard car's horn. She got up and walked toward her window then slightly moved away little bit of curtain to looked outside. From her room's window she could see everything what was happening outside in lawn and gate. He came out from his car and started walking towards main door. After a while she heard footsteps in front of his room and then his room door opened and closed. She sighed then went back in her bed for sleep because he was back.
