Time skip and a lot of papers.

The next couple weeks (or months, I kinda lost track) I spent without sleep or food. All my time is spent in my study working. I haven't even been in my own room yet. Word of a new ruler got around super fast. I didn't want to meet anyone or let anyone see me so I locked myself in here, working. Nonstop. I need blood but I ignore the cravings as I sign more papers and write more letters. The work was dwindling, and I'm almost complete.

Three days later I finished my last thing and collapsed on the desk, falling asleep almost instantly.

When I woke up I found Ash sitting in one of the chairs across from me and a blanket over my shoulders. I looked around the room, finally able to take everything in. It was beautiful, a super-high pale stone ceiling, a balcony all around the room. The walls lined with all kinds of different books, probably all books ever written. Everything (walls, balcony) was a dark soft mahogany, including the desk I sit at. I'm sitting in a high-backed black leather office chair and my feet are on thick black carpet. The room is well lit, although I'm not sure from where the light comes from. There's a lamp, a computer (don't use it all that much, considering here it's mostly medieval ways, not modern ones), and scattered books, papers, pens, pencils, and a quill sitting in ink off in the corner (quite fun to write with).

I stood, forgetting how long it's been since the last time I stood. I don't even remember the last time I left this room. Ash noticed I'd woken up and put the book he was reading on the low table in front of him. We smiled at each other. I hadn't been able to see him in a while.

"Hey." I said lightly, trying to drown the cravings I had to just rip into his neck.

"You're really, really pale. When's the last time you ate? Or drank. Or slept?" He asked, brushing a strand of hair from my face.

"Um...I don't remember?" I said innocently. He chuckled.

"Come on, you've been in here far too long." He grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the door.

The staff didn't really know I was Queen, but I'm pretty sure they know I'm no longer a slave either. I made sure no one who knows who I am is formal in front of others. Well, excluding everyone else not in my small pod of friends. I have to put up with royal treatment when their around, which is almost never. Everyone had gone to their own lands shortly after my coronation except the four of us who live here.

He led me to the kitchen, where he gave me a glass of blood while telling the chefs to prepare a meal. Over the next couple hours, I ate, drank, and took a really long shower, changing into a plain baggy t-shirt and leggings (do you really need to guess the color). I didn't want to go to my own room quite yet, considering it's still dusty and I just don't want to. Ash made me lay down next to him in his bed and he pulled me to him, so my back was on his chest, his arms wrapped around me so I can't get away. I fell asleep quite quickly, content.

I woke up who knows how long later wrapped in blankets but alone. I climbed out of bed and pulled on my shoes. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and walked over to Damion's room. I knocked and the door opened. Inside I saw Damion straddling Jordan and holding his wrists on either side of his head. They looked like they were having a heated makeout session so I quickly shut the door as my face set on fire.

Welp, I'm going to try to find someone who's not so...busy. I contemplated life as I wandered the halls. I have an idea I know for a fact the other three will not go for. I have the paper part done, but I need to go help the kingdom in person. I'm thinking of running away and going all Robin Hood (although I'll probably be more like the Night Watchman), considering no one knows who I am.

But I don't know...I have to figure out how to pull it off first.
