Unfortunately when I woke up, the doctors wanted to do an MRI to check my head and make sure I was clear to go home. As they were getting me ready to go, I saw Evra talking to my doctor. "Can I please go with her?" He asked. "She's claustrophobic. I just want to be sure she's ok." He said. I smiled at how much he cared. "You can come into the room, but you're not allowed back near the machine with her." The doctor said. Evra nodded. "Can I talk to her?" He asked. The doctor nodded. "Just enough to keep her calm, alright?" He said. Evra nodded and then they walked into the room. He took my hand and kissed it before letting them take me to the room. I was trying to remember how to breathe as I laid down in the machine and the testing started. Every now and then, I'd hear Evra say "You're doing great baby." and "Almost done honey." I had never felt more relieved in my life than when I was able to get up. Something made me rush right into Evra's arms, and I buried my face in his chest. He kissed my head and rubbed my back to calm me down. I noticed, as I was standing there in his arms, how right this felt. I guess things were starting to come back a little bit. It was hours later when the doctors told us I could leave and I was so happy! Mr. Crepsley flitted to the Cirque du Freak and back with a change of clothes for me. I happily pulled them on and then I was practically pulling Evra's arm off trying to get out. He was laughing as I pulled him out the door, but then I stopped because I didn't know what our car looked like. I jumped on to Evra's back and pointed out into the parking lot. "Lead the way!" I said. He laughed and took us to a large moving van. "This looks like a van you'd kidnap someone with." I said. Evra laughed as I climbed off of his back and into the passenger side, then he got behind the wheel of van and we were on our way. When we got to the Cirque, I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be. I wasn't at all really. Evra opened my door, snapping me out of my thoughts, and held out his hand for me to take. "Welcome home." He said. I smiled and took his hand as I stepped down out of the van. "Everything looks familiar." I said. "It's home. It'll coe back to you sooner or later." He said. I nodded and followed him as he showed me around. I was starting to feel funny, so we went to the tent we shared and I crawled into bed. "I'll let you get some rest." Evra said, almost leaving. I grabbed his hand though and pulled him back. "Stay with me?" I asked. He nodded and crawled in next to me. I slowly moved over so my head was on his chest and I looked up at him to see him looking back smiling. "Is this ok?" I asked. He chuckled and nodded. "We're married, Liv. Trust me, we've been closer." He said, and I blushed as I realized what he meant. Instead of sleeping, we pulled out a laptop and Evra brought up American Horror Story on Netflix. "I can go back to season one if you want." He said, as we were on season two. I shook my head. "No let's just watch from here." I said. He nodded and pressed play. In the middle of the episode, I started to wonder how we even had an internet connection. We were practically in the middle of nowhere! I asked Evra and he shrugged. "I don't really question it." He said as he clicked play on the next episode. I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder. I started to feel hungry after a while and we got up to see if there was any food out yet. I saw a lot of choices, but none pf that was what I needed. "Um... Where is Mr. Crepsley's tent again?" I asked Evra. He lead the way and I looked around when we went inside. The tent was bigger than it looked. "Mr. Crepsley might be out feeding. He won't mind us waiting here though." Evra said. I nodded and sat down in the big red chair that I loved and- wait... I loved this chair? I remembered that! I fall asleep in this thing all the time! "What's wrong?" Evra asked. I smiled. "Nothing. I just... I remember this chair." I said. He smiled a little. "Is there anything else in here you remember?" He asked. I stood and looked around while I walked. Just like everything else I'd seen so far, it all looked familiar. I saw a large cage and inside was a big, colorful spider. She was beautiful. "Is this Madame Octa?" I asked, remembering the story Mr. Crepsley had told me. Evra came over and nodded. "Yep. That's her." He said. I picked up the tiny flute sitting next to her cage and blew a few notes on it. Octa turned her attention towards me so I put the flute down and started to whistle instead as I opened the cage door. I let her crawl up my arm and onto my shoulder where she nuzzled against my face a little bit. I kept myself from giggling and let her crawl back down into her cage, then I gave her some dead flies. "You have always been quite the spider charmer." Said a voice that wasn't Evra's. I turned around and saw Crepsley. "Hey." I said. "Hello." He replied. "Were you looking for something?" He asked. I nodded. "I'm starving." I said. He nodded and handed me a bottle of blood from near his coffin. I drank some and smiled. "Thank you." I said. He waved his hand and leaned against the table. "You do not have to thank me." He said. I smiled. "After everything you've done for me, yes. I do." I said. He smiled a little, and for some reason I knew that was a rare sight. "How does your head feel?" He asked. I shrugged. "Alright, I guess. I haven't had any headaches so far." I said. "That is good." He said. "Yeah. I've just been taking it easy." I said. "You need to." Evra said. Later that night, Evra was trying  to convince me to stay in the tent instead of going to the theater where they were performing. "C'mon babe. I'll talk to Mr. Tall and find a replacement for me. We can just sit here and relax." He said. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck, then looked up at him. "Is this something I usually do?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded. "Quite a bit." He said. I smiled and kept my arms where they were. "Listen, I know you worry, but I'll be fine. I've been taking it easy since we got back and I'm getting tired of being tired." I said. "You really don't wanna rest one more day? Just in case?" He asked. I shook my head and unwrapped my arms to take his hand. "C'mon let's get there before they start!" I said. He laughed and let me drag him to the theater. "Believe me, we won't miss anything." He said. When we got there, we went to the dressing room he was using and I sat to watch him get ready. He was tuning his guitar and I started to hum something. "Arms?" He asked. "Hm?" I asked. "That song you were humming... You wrote that. It's called Arms." He said. "We write music together. Quite a bit." I said, remembering the sleepless nights when we'd pick up guitars and write until morning. Evra nodded. "Yeah." He said. I sat next to him and pointed at the tuned guitar. "May I?" I asked. He nodded and handed me the guitar, then placed my fingers correctly. It took a few tries, but I got my music memories back and was smiling so hard my face was hurting by the time I was done. "You'll be back to performing in no time." Evra said, and I kissed his cheek. When I backed up, he was looking at me and I glance at his lips. I leaned forward slowly, and kissed him softly. It didn't stay slow and soft though. Soon after we started kissing, I was being laid back into the bed. I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck as he started to kiss mine. So much for relaxing! Unfortunately, that was as far as we got. Because suddenly we heard someone clearing their throat loudly and stopped to see who it was. "Maybe the next time you two lose the ability to control yourselves, shut the door." The girl said. She dropped a basket of clothes in the door and left. Evra and I sat up. "You should probably get ready." I said. He nodded. "Yeah. Uh, let's go." He said, taking my hands and pulling me up. We walked until we were backstage and I heard Mr. Crepsley's name called. I watched, mesmerized as he controlled Madame Octa with the little flute. I snapped out of my trance and smiled as I wished Evra good luck. The song he sang was familiar, but I couldn't place it at the moment, so I just listened. "He's great up there isn't he?" Asked the girl from earlier, suddenly beside me. I nodded. "He's amazing." I said. For some reason I got a weird vibe from her. I ignored it though and went back to watching Evra. "I don't think he ever got this into music when we were together." She said. "W-when you were together?" I asked, still watching Evra. "Yeah. Evra and I used to date. He came back to me for a while, but then went back to you again." She said. I could feel my heart pick up it's pace and I tried to stay calm. "Um... What do you mean he went back to you?" I asked. "Oh, he left the Cirque for a while to find his career in music, then came back but you weren't so forgiving. He came back to me while you two were fighting." She said. I could feel my throat tighten up, and I barely managed to choke out the next few words. "I... I need a minute." I said, and made my way back to the dressing room where I was finding it hard to keep myself from hyperventilating. When Evra came back in, he rushed to me and sat us on the bed. "What's wrong?" He asked. "That girl who was here earlier... Did you two date?" I asked. He sighed. "She told you?" He asked. I nodded. "Hey, she is just upset and jealous. Yes we dated, but she isn't the one I married. She's never been the one I've been in love with." He said. I sniffed and wiped at my eyes. "I love you too, Evra." I said. He kissed me and when he stopped, I laid back into the bed and yawned. "Do you... Do you think we could get away with staying here tonight?" I asked. "Maybe. If we let someone know that we are." He said. I nodded and stretched out on the bed. "We should cause this bed is super cozy and I'm too tired to get up." I said. He laughed and crawled up next to me. "You're right. It is comfy." He said. When Mr. Crepsley stopped by, he looked a bit uncomfortable finding us in bed but ignored it and asked if we were ready to go home. "Actually, I am super cozy and lazy so I was wondering if Evra and I could stay here." I said. Mr. Crepsley stared at us for a while before he finally answered. He sighed, "Alright. I shall let Hibernius know. Have a good night." He said, and he left to go back to the Cirque. I smiled and rolled over to lay my head on Evra's chest. We slept for a little while, but then I woke up from the dream I was having. Memories were flooding my head and it was like watching a movie stuck in fast forward. I couldn't understand much of it, but somehow I knew much more. I sighed and stood up from the bed. I made my way quietly out of the room, careful not to wake Evra, and walked out into the hallway. It'd be a while before I could sleep again, and I knew that sleep would come a lot faster if I could tire myself out first. So, I walked down the hallway until I saw the lobby of this old theater and walked in there. It looked as if it hadn't been used in ages. Granted, it probably hadn't. As I looked around, I couldn't help but think of all the business this place must have gotten. The parties thrown by other performers, the crowds that passed through, the shows that must have been put on by people just like us. More or less. I definitely wasn't tired now, and knew I probably wouldn't sleep for the rest of the night. So I left the lobby, in search of more mysteries and memories left through the ages.
