It's been a month since my birthday and the Cirque was busier than ever. Putting on bigger shows, drawing in bigger crowds and making a lot more money. That meant waking up earlier than usual and getting chores done quicker and earlier by the time the show started. Which sucked, because by the time the show started everyone was out of breath from running and then having to hurry to get ready. The crowds didn't notice our tiredness though, they applauded loudly like they always did and a few even asked for pictures with some of us. I managed to escape the picture taking, not wanting to explain why I was barely able to be seen. After that night's show, Evra and I headed back to our tent to relax for the night. I pulled up Netflix and we watched some tv for a while until we switched to the horror category and watched really crappy horror movies. "You know what I don't get?" Evra asked. "What?" I replied. "Why people always try to outrun the monster or murderer. Like, grab your keys, get in your car, and get the freak away from there! If you're in a car and you're driving there's no way they could keep up on foot! No matter how fast Michael Myers is!" He said. I laughed, "Dude we're not even watching Halloween! It's Nightmare on Elm Street! Where did Michael Myers come from?" I asked. "I'm just saying. People in scary movies are stupid! I'm sorry but, it's true." He said. I laughed and went to the movie Tormented and we watched that. Then we watched Annabelle. "Say goodbye to your dolls!" Evra said. "No! Don't you dare!" I yelled. "How you gonna stop me?" He asked while playfully starting to get out of bed. I grabbed him and tried to pull him back, but the hammock flipped and I ended up on the floor while Evra was tangled in the ropes. I untangled his foot from the bed and wrapped my arms around his legs so he couldn't move. He laughed and tried to tickle my stomach with his feet, which worked and I let go. He crawled towards the two stuffed dolls I had, so I grabbed my pillow and threw it at him. "Ow! I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't throw bricks at me!" He yelled. "Well I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't destroy my dolls!" I said, laughing as he tried to block the second hit from my pillow. I crawled onto him and sat on his stomach as I kept hitting him. "Ok! Ok! I surrender!" He yelled. I laughed breathlessly and put my pillow down, then he sat up and moved my hair out of my face. I bit his hand. "Really? Again with the biting?" He asked with a smile. I crinkled my nose at him and smiled and he took his hand out of my teeth and kissed my nose. "You're silly." He said. I giggled and kissed him softly, "But you love me." I said. He smiled and nodded, "Yeah I do." He said. I kissed him quickly before getting up and helping him off the ground. We finished the movie and sat bored for a while. "You wanna go for a walk?" He asked. I shook my head, "Too cold." I said. "Wanna... Watch more movies?" He asked. "Too long." I said. He chuckled and poked my side, "Wanna continue to be the most stubborn person in the galaxy?" He asked. I laughed and put my head in his neck, "You know I will." I said. He laughed and held me close, "Well what do you want to do baby?" He asked. I sighed, "I don't knoooow!" I said. I sat up and played with the small hole in the knee of his pajamas. "Ok, you wanna know what I wanna do?" I asked. "What?" He replied. "I wanna dye my hair." I said. "Dye your hair? I thought you liked the blue." He said. "I did. But now I want a new color!" I said. "What color?" He asked. "I'm thinking blonde. What do you think?" I asked. "I think you'd look amazing blonde." He replied. I smiled and got up to get my flip flops on. "Going to the store?" He asked. "Going to the store." I said. He got up and handed me a jacket before putting on his own. We found a beauty store, I bought the color and Evra bought some Mentos mint gum. When we got back I put the color away and crawled into the hammock, still not tired. Evra handed me a guitar and I strummed a few random chords before handing it to him. He played a few random chords before actually ending up with a song,
" (The kids in the dark, the kids in the dark)
(The kids in the dark, the kids in the dark)

Here we are,
At the end of the road - a road that's quietly caving in,
Come too far to pretend that we don't - we don't miss where we started,
Looking back, I see a setting sun, and watch my shadow fade into the floor,
I am left standing on the edge
Wondering how we got this far, (how we got this far...)
