"There is no permanent damage but he does have a little concussion so he must have hit his head on the way down." The doctor explained Demi nodding her head gently.

"But he hasn't damaged his chances of walking sometime soon?" Demi checked wanting to make sure she knew before she got too relieved.

"Not that we can see, he might be a little stiff from bruising but other than that he should continue to walk with the crutches we gave him." Demi thanked him before she wondered into Joe's room leaning over pecking his lips gently.

"How are you feeling?" Demi questioned.

"Woozy." He mumbled making her laugh as she sat down next to him taking hold of his hand squeezing it gently.

"You'll be okay though and when the pain killers have worn off a little bit we'll be able to go back home to Kaia." Demi stated.

"She didn't see did she? Who is she with?" Joe inquired.

"No she didn't and your mom is with her, she just called to see how you were and Kaia has made you some get well cards." Demi spoke through a laugh slightly.

"Some?" Joe chuckled slightly Demi nodding her head leaning over kissing his cheek gently making Joe crack a small smile.

"You scare me at times you know," Demi accused but laughed as he rolled his eyes. "Get some rest, I'll stay here." She pulled the covers up him a little more as he settled down, she made sure she had hold of his hand as he drifted off to sleep. She couldn't help but watch him sleep, she often did when she was first awake, he just looked peaceful. She was glad he was going to be okay and his dream of walking and doing all these activities isn't ruined.

"Daddy!" Kaia exclaimed as she heard the door open running over but she didn't jump up at him like she normally would even if he was in his wheelchair, she was aware he had been in the hospital, she knew what the ambulance meant, she was a smart young girl even if she was only two.

"I'm okay princess." Joe assured her allowing Demi to lead him into the living room where Kaia followed. Joe was helped to the couch from Denise and Demi sighing of relief when he was finally sat in comfort.

"Daddy will be okay but I'm sure cuddles will make him feel even better." Demi cooed.

"One minute!" She stated running off, Joe couldn't help but laugh slightly at his daughter, she was full of so much energy, much more than he remembered he had at her age. Kaia son came back with cards in her hands handing them to Joe then climbing on the couch allowing Joe to wrap his arm around her as he looked at the cards.

"Thank you princess, I'll put them upstairs where I can see them." Joe kissed her head gently.

"Do you want to help mommy make a drink for daddy?" Demi questioned Kaia nodding her head running into the kitchen Demi soon following.

"Mommy when can daddy walk and play with me?" Kaia inquired as she was lifted up to get a mug out of the cupboard.

"I don't know baby girl, when he's ready." Demi answered.

"But that not what he go to hospital for?" Demi shook her head gently. "Oh." Demi sighed putting the mug down on the side lifting her up.

"Daddy isn't very well remember, he can still play with you."

"But everyone else's daddy's play with them outside and my daddy doesn't." Kaia frowned, Demi couldn't help but sigh again. She didn't know what to say next to make Kaia see what was going on with Joe, that if he had the choice he would play with her instead of work and until it was time to go to bed but his accident years ago prevented that.
