I woke up on Thursday morning at six thirty, a hole hour earlier than usual. A hole hour to be spent dosing blissfully until my alarm goes off, right? Wrong. The second I woke up I was bombarded with thoughts and worries and things to do about our party.

Have the costumes arrived yet?

Will they fit?

Have Luke's parents got the food and drinks?

Will it be nice?

Will people actually dress up?

Was a fancy dress party a bad idea?

Will it even be all that fun?

Is the music okay?

Will people like it?

I couldn't take it. So I ended up getting up early and walking down to Luke's house.

DINGGGG-DONGGG!

A sleepy Luke came to the door, still in his PJ's.

''Oh, hey,'' she said sleepily rubbing his eyes and walking back up the stairs.

''Hey,'' I quietly shut the door behind me and followed him up the stairs to his room.

''What's up?'' he asked me, sitting down on his bed and looking genuinely concerned to see me.

''Sorry I couldn't sleep, I was stressing about the party.''

''Why? Every thing's sorted isn't it?''

''Well I was worried if your Mum had got us the food and drinks yet? And if the music was okay. And if people would actually show up in fancy dress. And then I was worried our costumes wouldn't get here in time, and maybe they wouldn't fit and-''

''Hannah! Calm down!'' he laughed. ''I emailed the guy last night he said they would definitely be here by today. The food and drinks our in the kitchen, its fine. And everyone loves the fancy dress idea so yes, people will show up in fancy dress. If the costumes don't fit, we can put something together last minute. Jeez, why are you so worried?''

''Sorry I just wasn't sure, I feel better now though.'' Luke laughed at me and went into his bathroom to get dressed, running his hand over his face and though his hair.

He came out five minutes later with his uniform on and his hair jelled, looking wide awake as ever.

''Right, we going then?'' he asked me jerking his head towards the door.

''We're gonna be really early but sure.''

''Well, have you had any breakfast?''

''No, have you?''

''No, ''He laughed, ''Okay so we'll have breakfast and then we'll go?''

''Sure.'' I smiled at him and followed him back to the kitchen.

After a bowl of co-co pops, Luke and Aiden are so grown up, we left for school and arrived just in time for classes to start.

''Hannah...?'' I heard as I walked into the canteen for lunch later that day. I turned around to see Sophie walking towards me.

''Hey Sophie, What's up?''

''Um... I don't think I'm going to go tomorrow... or next week. Sorry I can't go.''

''Oh? Why not? We'd love it if you came.''

''Well...Luke...''

''What's wrong?'' I frowned at her concerned.
