Suffocating guilt

"Surprised? What did you think that I would be with Geet right now?" Romeo slyly blurts out.

Awww, i am so sorry to burst your bubble Mr. Khurana. You see I had a change of heart! I decided not to take up on that offer of yours.

Maan: Look! Neither am I interested in you nor your stupid talks. Unlike Geet I don't give a damn about you so do yourself a favour and quickly move out of my path.

" Itna gussa.... itni nafrat?...
tsk tsk tsk!" Romeo said shaking his head.

" If she chose me over you how is it my fault" Romeo says with a smirk.

"She could never choose me, Maan Singh Khurana is an unattainable choice where the word "love" doesn't exist in his dictionary. It wouldn't have made a difference if she chose me when I would have never loved her back.

"It's a shame. God has given you everything. Money, power, looks, girls, fame.... sab kuch diya! Kaash ek Dil bhi diya hota!"
Romeo says with a smirk...

Before he knew it Maan punches him tight across the face, blood coming out from the side of his mouth.

Romeo touches the side of his mouth where it was bleeding and then looks over to Maan and starts to laugh enraging Maan even more.

" You love her. You really love her. I got the answer I came for," he says wiping out the blood..
That smirk still didn't wipe off his face..

Maan's body charges forward to hit him again, but he control's his fists midway.

Romeo just chuckles, "Maarna hai mujhe? Maaro! Maaro! But the truth won't change"

Maan just turns away screaming "Get away from here before I do something I regret!"

" You know what? If Geet wasn't as close to me as a sister I would've beaten you black and blue for the pain you've caused her" Romeo blurts out in anger not playing nice anymore.

Maan freezes in place as those words sunk into his head. His breath getting caught right in his throat as if chocking him!

"Sister?" Maan manages to whisper.

"YES sister! My "laddoo" who I would tease from childhood. If you never trusted "love" how would you trust such an innocent soul like her Maan!"

For some reason those whom she trusts always turned their backs on her. Her ex-boyfriend, her family, you... and the biggest jerk of all is me, for turning my back on everything and letting her battle all this alone!

But now that I am here back in her life again I will not let her suffer anymore and that too alone! She is leaving Maan.

He was standing in a pool of blood beside his feet. The anger, hate, and abhorrence he had for himself right now, he could kill himself right in front of her and that still would not be enough punishment for what he has done. What he has done makes the devil look GOOD! WHAT MONSTER has he become?

"She was never mine Maan. She was always yours. She has put a swear on me. I have to let her go, but you don't! Don't let your happiness slip away from you! You both complete each other!" Romeo tried to bring in some sense into his head.

He brings out something and approaches Maan from behind. " I don't know what is in this letter, but it may clear any questions or doubt that you still may have".
