For the most part, adding any form of dark humor is not only immorally wrong, but cliche as heck. Dark humor basically is when a usually tough topic, such as gang life and suicide, are made into comedy for some weird reason. A lot of writers for more mature cartoons usually go into the habit of adding this type of humor, which makes their work easily cringeworthy. These types of jokes are what make me avoid certain shows such as South Park and Family Guy, who go way too far with their humor time and time again. There is comedy and then there is morality. To stay moral with your comedy, only use dark humor lightly, if at all. Otherwise, your work will become an example of the negatives of the human race.
