I don't know where this cliche came from, but really it doesn't make that much sense. All glasses really do is help people who are near sighted or far sighted see properly. There is the argument that it helps you be able to focus on class lessons more, but that only applies to those who really try. Trust me when I say there are students out there with glasses that aren't supercomputers. I know this cliche is minor, but still, it is a little too present in media.
