Boy, do I have a lot to say about this cliche. First of all, not all teachers are jerks. Being a high school student, I've had my share of really good teachers. They were strict, but they had good reason to be. Imagine having to teach a class of twenty students yourself. Some authority has to be given in order to keep the class in line. Of course, there are the few teachers that really are just jerks, but those are very few compared to what most people seem to think. That is why I'm kind of ticked off a lot of stories only have teachers that are complete jerks or have a pole up their butts. Why can't there be good teachers as well in the mix?
