Yeah, I think most of us know about this cliche. It is when the fair prince or princess in order to save the ones they love presents a kiss that saves their loved ones' lives. Although it is really sweet, it is kind of overdone. A great alternative to the kiss might be to make a special potion, make a deal with some witch or wizard, or even just declare that they love the person. You can still make the moment quite heartwarming without using the cliche.
