Seriously, how many times can an author bring back a villain before it gets old? One time is enough for the audience to stay invested. Multiple times though will get the audience bored and make them beg for the villain to die for good so someone else can take their role. This cliche is one you don't want to use, period. It is best to make a villain as vulnerable as anybody else, by making them only die that one time. One resurrection is okay for a plot twist, but after that it will get old fast. Just see what happened with the Nightmare At Elm Street series of movies after Jason came back for the third time.
