Christmas Morning

Uncle Maks, Aunt Peta, Uncle Val, Aunt Jamaica; It's Christmas! I heard Noelle exclaim. I groaned as Val rolled over and pulled me into his arms. He kissed my head. Does that mean it's time to get up? he asked. I laughed. I think so. I said as I unraveled myself from Val's arms and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Val sat up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head on my back. Merry Christmas. I heard him mumble quietly. I laughed. Merry Christmas, Babe. I said as Noelle walked into the room with Sleep. Val and I looked in their direction to see Sleep wearing a Santa hat and Noelle was already dressed in her Christmas outfit. I smiled. Who helped you get dressed? I asked. I saw Maks standing in the doorway dressed in nice clothes. Hey, I'm a good uncle when I want to be. he said. I laughed. Thank you, Maks. I said. He smiled. Of course, Ramaka. Now, you two get dressed; and I'll take care of her. Maks said grabbing Nolle's hand and walking out of the room. I managed to get out of Val's hold and walked over to our closet. I pulled out my black dress and the sequin Santa hat that I bought. I walked into the bathroom and changed into the outfit. I grabbed my hair straightener and ran it through my hair. I grabbed the Santa hat and placed it on my head. I unplugged the straightener and grabbed some of my makeup. I did my makeup and looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled approvingly. I walked out if the bathroom to see a bag seated on the bed and Val sitting down next to it with a huge smile. Babe. I said with a laugh as I went and sat on his leg. It's just a little something to start the day. he said handing me the bag. I sighed. You're really to good to me. I said. He smiled and shook his head vigorously. No, not at all. he said with a laugh. I laughed and smiled as I pulled out the contents of the bag. A black box was seated in the bag with a card. I opened up the card and read it out loud. Jamaica, this year with you has been the best year of my life. You are one of the most compassionate people I've ever met. You're everything I could've ever dreamed of in a partner. Smart, caring, compassionate, outgoing, family oriented; everything. I'm so glad that I made the decision to propose to you, because I know you're the one for me. I love you with every fiber of my being, and I can't wait to start a future with you. My love for you is infinite. Merry Christmas, babe

I smiled at him as I finished reading the card. I sighed. You're the best. I said with a smile. He smiled at me as I grabbed the black box. What's this? I asked looking at him. Why don't you open it and find out? he asked with a wink. I rolled my eyes as I slowly opened the box. There in the box sat three heart necklaces with infinity signs. Val! I said with a gasp as I looked at him. He smiled at me and kissed my head. My love for you is infinite. he said. I stood up and put my hands on his shoulder as I kissed him. We pulled away and I leaned my head on his shoulder as I sighed. You're amazing. I said in a whisper. He smiled. Well, I think you're the amazing one. he said kissing my head. I smiled as Val grabbed the black and silver necklace and stood behind me. He put the necklace around my neck and closed it. I sighed as I reached for the hearts and ran my fingers along it. I turned and looked at Val. I don't know what I ever did to deserve this life I'm living. I said staring at the amazing man in front of me. He reached for my hand and laid a kiss on it. Well..Val started. Whatever you did, don't stop doing it. he said. I smiled as I grabbed his gift bag. I would never dream of it. I said handing the bag to him. Ramaka. he said with a groan. You know I didn't want anything. he said sitting down on the bed. I sat down next to him. It's just a little something, and I'm sure you'll want it once you see what it is. I said with a laugh. Val pulled out the black box and looked at me with a questioning glance. I shrugged and watched as he opened it to the reveal the engagement ring I picked out. Val smiled at me as he pulled it out and handed it to me. I smiled and slid it onto his finger. I smiled and pulled out my phone as I took a picture of our hands. Val put his hand on my cheek with the ring facing out and kissed me as I took a picture of that also. I smiled as I stood up and looked at my outfit. Val came up and wrapped his arms around me. I laughed. Clingy today, Valentin? I asked. He smiled and kissed my cheek as I took another picture. I love you so much. he said. I smiled. I love you even more.
