Bertholdt Fubar x Reader; Cuddle Break [EDITED].

Now, this fic I originally planned on making you Reiner's cousin, but I changed my mind. So, you are just trying to bring Bert (OFFICIAL NICKNAME BTW CHECK IT OUT ON THE INTERWEBS) out of his shell and all that really happens is that you do, but it's really cute and fluffy and I wanted to puke cats, fluffy llamas and rainbows writing this. ENJOY~.

It was graduation day and the recruits now had chosen their regiments. Many went to the garrison, but surprising the top 10 only attended the Survery Corps. (Y/N) was trying for the past two years to draw the tallest in the regiment, after Mike Zacharius that is, out of his shell as he only made friend with the two people from his district.

Bertholdt was very shy, he would stutter whenever the girl spoke to him, he would turn bright red at any sign of affection and Reiner would do fuck all except tease him. The four of them (the two boys, (Y/N) and Annie) spent more and time hanging about, the (H/C) still trying to pry the tall male from his shell of shyness.

"Bert! Please just do something instead of hiding! I wanna do something with you!" The girl whined, the blush turning a soft pink.
"(Y/N), I can't! I have too much to do! We also have training!" He sputtered out, almost walking away until he felt a small hand take his and start pulling him away. "W-Wha-What are y--you d-d-doing?!" He stuttered as he was dragged into the Survey Corps HQ.
The only reply he got was this:- "We are gonna take a nap and you aren't going to leave."

They soon reached the lounging area which had large settees and blankets galore. (Y/N) pushed Bert down on the seat closest to the fire, much like his cheeks were at that point, then sat down on the settee.
After a little while, she grabbed the book from under the couch and handed it to Bertholdt, whilst he pondered what he was being silently asked to do.

"Read it from where the bookmark is. I'm tired and wanna sleep; once I do, you should too. Reindeer told me you haven't been sleeping lately." The girl next to him snuggled closer, causing his whole face to go red, but a small adoring smile appeared on his visage.

He opened the book to the page where he was told to, and began reading. After a little bit of time, he heard soft snoring and he looked down at his chest, seeing that (Y/N) had fallen asleep with her head over his heart. This made his blush reappear. His blush settled on his cheeks and the smile that he had whilst reading to the girl just grew to become a grin.

He shuffled down and pulled the blanket over him and his 'snuggle buddy' as he wrapped his arms around her body - one across her upper shoulders and the other around her waist. His arms pulled her closer and (Y/N) snuggled her head into his chest. He soon felt comfortable, slowly nodding off.

About 10 minutes after Bertholdt fell asleep, Reiner and Annie strolled up to the door, the other cadets who were worn out from the day they had of training behind, knowing that the pair who were asleep in the room had finished early and the corporal was feeling lenient that day.
The two blondes opened the door to see their friends cuddling together on the couch. Reiner just smirked and pushed all the other cadets out the room, saying there was something wrong in the room, whilst Annie walked in. Reiner walked in once the other cadets were gone and sat on on of the two armchairs in the room. Annie sat in the other one and they both just stared at the scene in front of them.

They stayed like that for about 40 minutes, when Bertholdt woke up and smiled at (Y/N), his hand rising to her cheek to stroke it and brush her hair out of her face. He then presses his lips to her cheek whilst holding her close, waiting for her to wake up.
His eyes travel up to see his two closest friends just grinning like creeps at him. "So... Enjoy your snuggle time?" Reiner teased, making Bertholdt sit up right.

A groan was heard from the (E/C)-orbed girl as she sat up and nuzzled her head back against Bertholdt's chest. "Bertie, don't move. You woke me up." She wasn't exactly a morning person. Bertholdt turned a bright pink before looking at her and tapping her shoulder.

"We have company."

At this, the girl let go and sat up, wide awake, and fell off the couch, whimpering at the pain it caused.
After (Y/N) got back up, she glared at the two blondes across from her. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" She snapped, making Reiner laugh boisterously.

"You finally got what you wanted! You got to do it with Bert like you said months ago!" At this, the pair both became the world's darkest shade of red as (Y/N) and Annie ganged up on Reiner, punching him in sync in the gut, making him a crippled ball on the floor.

Annie dragged Reiner out the room by his belt, leaving the other two alone. "So..." The girl said, cutting through the awkward air in the room. "Do you really wanna... Well..." Bert said, his cheeks going darker, if it was even possible. (Y/N) hung her head and nodded, hiding behind her (H/L) (H/C). The tall male stood up and wrapped his arms around the girl in front of him, and soon felt smaller arms wrap around his waist.

He pressed his lips against her head with a smile. "We can if you wanna..." He whispered shyly, so only she could hear it. The (E/C)-hued girl's orbs widened in shock and she couldn't speak. "I mean- We don't have to! Only if you wanna! I know I do, but I wanna wait until you a-" He was cut off feeling his collar being pulled down, and he kissed the girl after she finished her last sentence.

"We can when you like... As long as you know I like you a hell of a lot."
