Today was mine & Ace's last day together. My family & I are moving away to All Blue, mainly because my Father is starting work up there.

I don't want to leave the Grand line behind. It means that I'll leave behind all of the friends that I've made here.....
And more importantly, I'll leave behind Ace.

Ace & I, we've been close friends ever since we were in the same daycare. We met when I stole his play dough & then he chopped a piece of my hair off. We got in trouble of course, but we just...clicked I guess.
And ever since then, we've been inseparable.

"So what do you want to do (Y/N)-chan?"Ace asked
I grinned."We should prank your brothers!"
Ace grinned mischievously."Lets do it."

We got the stuff that we needed & it was all set up. Sneaking in & out was easy since Ace had a key to his house. We knocked on both of their doors & hid inside a vase that was big enough for both of us to fit in there.

"Here they come!"I whisper

Sabo & Luffy opened the door, only to have a pie land on their heads. And what made it worse, was that Luffy started chasing after Sabo, because Luffy thought that Sabo had turned into a pie.

"WAIT!"Sabo yelled from their lounge
"What Mr Pie?"Luffy asked
I swear I heard Sabo roll his eyes."We gotta find Ace & (Y/N)-chan! They're the only ones who can pranks us like this!"Sabo says
"Eh? Sabo you were Mr Pie?!"
"No Baka!-"

Ace & I snuck out of his house & ran over to the meadow fields. We started to laugh our butts off because of Luffy.

"Awww you're brothers are so cute!"I coo
Ace pouts angrily."And I'm not?"
I laughed."No Ace, you're handsome!"
Ace grinned at me."Alright! Then lets make a promise!"
I tilt my head in confusion."A promise for what?"
"(Y/N)-chan! If you do come back to the Grand line, you've gotta promise me that we'll be boyfriend & girlfriend! And then when we finish school, we'll get married!"Ace says
"Oh! And when we do become bf & gf we'll kiss!"I add
Ace grinned wider."Yeah! Do you swear?"
"Yeah I swear!"

*6 years later*
(Y/N) pov
That was when we were 10. And ever since I had moved away, I kept on thinking of that promise. Almost every night that day would replay in my head.

After a while here in All Blue, I realized how much Ace meant to me. I realize now that I was in love, but I guess I was still too young to understand what love meant.

And now here I am, back in the Grand line for High school, ready for Level 1 exams.

"Be good okay? If anything goes wrong-"
"I'll be fine! Mum I can kick ass anyway, so no man can touch me!"I say with a grin
Mum sighed at me."Alright, I'll see you after."
"See you after."

With a kiss on the cheek, I was sent inside the High school.

Ace pov
"First day of being senior."I say with a sigh
"Honestly Ace you gotta stop saying that over & over."Sabo sighs
"I know! But...it still hasn't sunk in."I say
"Then make it sink faster. Come on just focus on the girls that are here! There's so many cute ones this year."Sabo says

'But they're not (Y/N)....nowhere near her level.'

Sabo noticed me look around."Look I know you're still mopey about (Y/N), but you gotta get over her Ace. She won't come back, ever."

I sighed."Whatever you say."

I found my way to my class, and began to look around for a seat. There was one left, and that was at the very back of the class by the window.
