Chapter 46

Charlie's POV

Lilly was sitting at the office looking through her papers while I was preparing the kitchen for another day at the restaurant, Food Palace. The business was slowly flourishing with customers from all status. The Kashaps, and Singhs had helped us advertise the restaurant and slowly it started seeing better days. I am the main cook, and love my job. Lilly had taken over the accounting stuff for now, and soon when I am able to afford it I will have someone else. It's not that Lilly isn't good at it, but I don't want to hold her back from her dreams. Her dream lies on a whole different field along side her sister and mother in the world of fashion. She was eating an apple while she flipped through the papers. Just then she looked over at me. Smiling she began waving her hands like crazy. I smiled and waved back. She waved me over. I sighed and walked over to her

"You ready for the lunch rush?" She smiled as she sat in her rolling chair

"I would be if you hadn't called me"

"Relax you still have 3 hours"

"So why did you call me?"

"I wanted to ask you where Aditi is?"

"Why?"

"Well she promised to spend more time with me, but then ended up missing"

"She went on a study abroad program and will be studying abroad for a while"

"Really? Where did she go?"

"She hasn't told me yet"

"Oh..."

"Yeah. Anything else?"

"Well" She stood up, "Not anything really special...but" She walked behind me

"What?"

"This" She hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek

"That's all" I pulled her in front of me and leaned in when

"Sir?" I turned around to see one of my employees

"Yes?" I let go of Lilly

"We have our first customer"

"Get their order and let them know it might take time"

"Yes sir" He walked off

"I hate interruptions" Lilly put her arms around my neck

"Sometimes it can't be helped" I sighed

"You are just leaving?" She asked as I turned to leave

"Job calls"

"But I should be first priority" She pulled my collar and kissed me

"Always" I kissed her again

"Sir, the customer would like to talk to you" Vijay entered the kitchen

"He didn't like the food?" I got a little worried

"He didn't say, sir"

"Okay I will be right out"

I gave directions to my assistant cook and walked off to see my customer. As I approached the only table available I started to realize that he looked very familiar. Finally when I reached his table I knew exactly who he was...Vicky Khurrana

"Good afternoon" I smiled at him

"Ah nice to see you again Charlie. Have a seat"

"Um..."

"Come on. There aren't any other customers yet you can afford to chat with me"

"I guess" I sat down curious as to what he wanted to talk to me about, "Did you like your lunch?"
