Chapter 23

Aditi's POV

"Delivery for Aditi Singh" Ameena smiled as she opened my door

"Delivery?" I walked over to her to see a basket

    I moved the blanket to see a little puppy. It was a small rottweiler puppy. He looked up at me, and stuck his tongue out. My heart melted.

"Hey you" I picked him up and cuddled him, "Who sent me this little pup? He is so cute"

"How do you know he is a boy?" Ameena looked at me

"Oh" I checked him, "Definite boy" We laughed

"Here you go you have a card"

    She placed the basket on the bed, and left. Hm...I placed him on the ground, and opened the card

   I smiled as I turned to look at him. He was about to pee. Oh no! I picked him up and ran to the bathroom. I let him pee in the shower as I called Raj.

"Hey, sorry I couldn't make it to your birthday yesterday. What should I gift you?"

"How about a starter kit for puppies?"

"What?!"

"I got a puppy and I don't know what to do. He almost peed on my clothes, and now" I turned to look at him, "He is sitting in his pee"

"Okay I will come pick you up in a few. We will go to the pet store together so you can learn first hand"

"Thanks Raj"

"Plus we have a lot of catching up to do as well. I heard about your concussion yesterday. How are you now?"

"Like nothing happened" I smiled

"Well see you in a few then"

"Gotcha" I put the phone in my pocket and watched my puppy as he tried to climb out of the bathtub, "Let's clean you first kiddo"

    I filled a bucket with water, and slowly poured it into the bathtub. As all the urine flowed away I gave him a bath carefully. I used normal soap hoping it wouldn't kill him. I didn't wash his face with soap. Instead I took a wet towel and wiped his face as he tried to bite the towel. Then I put him in his basket, and changed clothes. I put on a pair of jeans, a white tank top with a plaid shirt over. I walked out of my closet to see him getting tangled in the blankets in his basket.

"Oh you silly thing" I laughed as I picked him up, "Let's go find you a name"

    I carried him downstairs where I found excited little twins. Amit and Ajay first stood stunned as they stared at the puppy. Finally Ajay walked over to me

"Can I touch it Dee?" He asked

"Of course kiddo"

     His face lit up as he pet the puppy. Amit straightened his glasses and walked over as well.

"What are you going to name it?" Ajay asked

"I don't know yet" I looked at him thinking of a name when

"Oh!" Aunt Harleem jumped, "A dog?!"

"No Mom it's a puppy" Ajay laughed and Amit joined him

"What is that doing inside the house?!" She got upset

"It's my puppy" I smiled, "I got him as a gift this morning"

"What's all the commotion?" Mom walked to the stairs where Ajay, Amit, I and the puppy were sitting, "Aw a puppy" She came over to pet him
