Tino sat across the table from you looking slightly frustrated. It has been two hours and he was still trying to teach you the basics. "Now (Y/n), remind me of how you say hello." He tries to give you a light smile.
You pick up the bitterness behind his words but do as he says. " Hyvää päivää..?" You say cautiously. You were afraid he'd explode of you got it wrong.
" Kyllä!" He was sighs with a small smile gracing his lips.
"That means yes." You attempt to appease him by showing that you had been paying attention. It wasn't your fault you were bad at learning new languages!
Ok...
Maybe it was. You straightened your back and stared Tino directly in the eyes. "How do you say 'I'm sorry'?"
Tino smiled softly at you. "You don't need to tell me you're sorry." He stands up and pulls you up with him. "Are you hungry?" He asks.
You shrug. "How do you say 'only if you are'?"
Tino smirked. "Very funny." He dragged you into his kitchen and started pulling random ingredients out of the fridge. Half of the things he pulled out were labelled in Finnish and since you weren't an expert (yet), you had no idea what you'd be eating.
Some things you recognized by their appearance such as cheese and bread but everything else; over your head. You had no idea what was going on.
You leaned against the counter as Tino whipped something up. You weren't exactly sure what it was, but to be quite honest, it did not look at all tasty.
The finished product looked like a bowl of mud. "Tino..." You glance up at him.
He guides you back to the kitchen table without a word and sits you down. "Here's the deal." He places the bowl in front of you and moves to his own seat. "Every time you get something wrong, you take a spoonful." He points at the bowl.
The blood drains from your face. "What even is this?"
Tino shrugged. "Leftovers all mashed together. Things even Peter wouldn't eat." A dark smirk spreads across his lips. "Now remind me, how do I introduce myself?"
The next hour and a half made your entire mouth numb both from speaking and eating the leftover slop.
Tino only stopped his lessons when the bowl was empty. Surprisingly enough, you'd actually retained more than you thought you would.
Tino stood and took the bowl from in front of you and headed towards the kitchen too wash it. "That's all for today." He called cheerily.
"Finally!" You jumped to your feet. "That was torture!"
"Mhm!" His voice had a certain mischievous air too it. " Nähdään huomenna lisää oppitunteja!"
You slowly translated what he said. See you... tomorrow... for more lessons!
"But Tino-!"

Ok so I'm going to see a psychologist on Tuesday for help so there's no need to worry about me.
