Chapter 19

Nathan's POV

I can't wipe the smile on my face while watching television right now. Everytime I remembered how cute Magdalene is last night, I can't stop myself from laughing. Damn, my baby is so cute. Who would have thought that a badass like her would be scared by a creepy creature in a horror movie?! Fuck! Last night is the best night for me, I saw her different cute reactions.

She didn't let me leave her side either, and she slept here in my unit too. We slept in the same bed. Beat that! That's why I can die right now. She is very different last night. Really. I just hope she'll be always like that.

My phone started ringing. Whoa, everything is going smooth huh? Magdalene is the one calling me. I swipe the screen of my cellphone quickly.

"Hi, babe. Did you get home safe?"

[I'm outside your unit. Hurry and open your door.]

Okay. What's wrong? She just ended the call without saying bye and I think she is back with her usual self. So no more cute Magdalene? Damn.

I go inside my room and wear a sweater before opening the door. I smiled when I saw Magdalene wearing a very badass like outfit and a fierce make-up. Who would imagined that this bad girl is crying like a baby last night?

"What are you smiling for?" She is glaring at me.

"You are so cute last night, babe. You are crying like a little baby, clinging into me the whole night and hugging me. So scared about that creepy creature huh?" I teased her.

I saw her stiffened for a second. But it does not last long. She pushed me and she walks inside my unit.

"Forget that. You wouldn't see that side of me anymore." Then he sits at the sofa.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is that all my imagination last night? She is really back with her badass attitude.

I walks in her direction.

"Babe, why are you in a bad mood? Did something happen?"

She faces me and she raised an eyebrow. "Something bad happened. What the hell are you doing? Hindi mo pa rin siya namimeet?"

I frown. "What?"

"I gave you a contact number right? I said that you must meet that girl. But days passed and you haven't meet her?!"

"Babe, calm do--" I was planning to hold her hand but she slapped my hand away and she stands up.

"I'm not fond of waiting, Clayton. Do what I told you to do if you still want me to not get bored of you."

"O-okay, babe. I'll call her now." Just like an obedient child, I get my cellphone and dialed the contact number in the paper that she gave to me. Luckily, that person she wants me to meet answered the phone and agreed to meet today.

I saw her at the window and looking outside. I get it as a chance to hug her from the back.

"Babe, you still mad? I already called her. Please don't be mad anymore."

She removes my hands in her waist and she faces me. She smiled. "Very good, babe. If you are always like that, I'll never get tired of you." Then she give me a peck on the lips. "I'm going now. I'll call you later."

I just watched her walks away. I feel that something is not right.

Whatever it is, I'll find it out soon.

But for now, I need to obey my Queen.

If I do what she wants, she might learn how to love me too. That's my very goal.

Shai's POV

"Sige. I like that! Kita na lang tayo dun. Yes bessy! Please bring cookies. See you! Bye!"

I put down my cellphone and continue eating. Nasa restaurant kami malapit sa car store ni Layner, I visited him kasi wala naman akong magawa sa unit ko and I decided na magquit na rin sa pagiging artista kaya matagal na rin akong tambay sa unit.

"Let's go back to our topic. I want our child to be a girl, two girls."

Kumunot ang noo ko. Kanina pa kaming nagtatalo na dalawa about sa magiging gender ng baby namin. Gusto pa nga niya na kasing rami daw ng basketball team o kaya soccer team ang magiging anak namin. Susme! Ano ba akala niya napakadaling magbuntis? Ngayon pa nga lang, naiiyak na ko eh.

"No. I want a boy."

"Okay lang. Basta kaugali ko."

Napatigil naman ako sa paghiwa ng steak ko. I look at him. "No way! Ayokong maging masungit baby ko."

"What? Sinasabi mo bang masungit ako?"

"Oo! Sungit mo kaya. I will never allow my child to be as sungit as his dad 'no."

"Di ako masungit. Makulit ka lang talaga, Erika." Bulong niya pero rinig ko pa rin.

"What?!" Inis kong sabi.

Tumingin siya sakin at ngumiti. "Wala, wifey. Sabi ko ang cute ng mga mata mo. Ang laki laki parang sa isda."

Bigla akong napasimangot dahil sa sinabi ni Layner. Anak ng tupa!

"Wifey, magkakawrinkles ka niyan sige ka. Wag kang sumimangot, baka mahawa ng kasungitan baby natin sayo."

Mas lalo akong napasimangot.

"Iniinis mo ba talaga ko ha, Layner?"

"Hindi ah. Wifey naman, bakit naman kita iinisin? Edi sinakmal mo ko." Sabay subo niya.

Grrrrr! Kinagat ko na lang yung labi ko dahil sa inis at sinunod sunod ko ang subo. Bwisit talaga lakas mang-asar nitong lalake na 'to pasalamat siya at mahal ko siya eh.

"Erika, hinay hinay lang sa pagkain. Baka tumaba ka."

Napalunok ako bigla kaya nasamid ako. Dali-dali akong uminom at pinandilatan ko talaga ng mata si Layner. Kanina pa siya ha!

"Eh ano kung tumaba ako?! Ano?! Pagpapalit mo na ko?! Kaya ba ayaw mo pa kong ayain magpakasal kasi nagdadalawang isip ka pa ha?!" Sabay duro ko sa mukha niya nung tinidor na hawak-hawak ko. "Ano?! Di ka makasagot?! Sagot!"

Hinawakan niya yung tinidor na hawak ko at inalis 'to sa kamay ko. Tapos yung kamay ko naman ang hinawakan niya.

"Paano ako sasagot? Ayaw mo tumigil kakasalita. Tss." Sabay baba ng kamay ko sa ibabaw ng lamesa.

"Ah ganon? So ayaw mo na sakin? Kasi madaldal ako? Ha? Ganon ba?!"

"Erika."

"Ano?!"

Nagulat ako sa sunod niyang ginawa. Lumapit siya at hinatak niya ko then he kissed my lips. I was so shocked at naiwan kong nakabukas ang bibig ko nang bahagya.

"Shut up. Listen to me, ilang beses ko na 'tong sinasabi sayo pero mukhang ayaw mo pa rin maniwala. Kahit gaano ka man tumaba, pumangit, o kadaldal hinding hindi kita ipagpapalit sa iba. You are the only girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. So, wifey be a good girl and finish your food. Kanina pa tayo pinagtitinginan ng mga tao."

Anak ng tokwa! Paano ako makakapagreak kung bumanat na naman siya?! Stupid mouth! Bakit kasi ang daldal mo? Nakakahiya tuloy sa mga tao baka sabihin nilang hindi kami bagay na dalawa ni Layner.

"Erika."

Tumingin ako sakanya.

He smiled. "I love you."

That three words eight letters from him made me smile.
