This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

ABHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

As I entered the study, my eyes fell upon Abhirath, seated at his desk with a pen in hand, engrossed in writing a letter. The sight of him composing a message to his parents stirred a pang of guilt within me, knowing that my earlier outburst had likely cast a shadow over his mood.

Approaching him quietly, I watched as he meticulously crafted each word, his brow furrowed in concentration. Swallowing back the lump forming in my throat, I mustered the courage to speak.

"Abhirath," I began softly, my voice trembling with remorse. "I... I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I didn't mean it, and I regret it deeply."

Abhirath's hand stilled as he turned to face me, his expression a mix of surprise and concern. Before he could respond, I reached out and gently placed a kiss on his cheek, my heart heavy with regret.

"Sach mein, Abhi," I continued, my voice choked with emotion. "Maine jo bhi kaha, woh galat tha. Please, mujhe maaf kar do."

Feeling a rush of emotions welling up inside me, I climbed onto Abhirath's lap, seeking solace in his comforting embrace.

I kept his hand on my stomach saying in baby voice: "Please forgive maa, babasa pretty please." giving him my best puppy eyes.

In that moment, I remembered a shayari Abhirath often recited to me when I was upset:

"तुम्हारी मुस्कान की महक से,

हर खुशबू बदल जाती है।

तुम्हारे प्यार में खोकर,

हर ग़म मुझसे छिप जाता है।"

Translating to:

"The fragrance of your smile,

Changes every scent around.

Losing myself in your love,

Every sorrow within me is found."

Abhirath's initial expression softened, replaced by a fond smile at my adorable antics. Wrapping his arms around me, he pulled me close, his touch offering reassurance and warmth.

"Shh, little rabbit," he murmured soothingly, brushing a gentle hand over my hair. "Of course I forgive you. Tumhari maafi toh hamesha maan li hai."

In that tender moment, as we embraced each other, I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me for having such a loving and forgiving partner by my side. With Abhirath's forgiveness, the weight of my guilt lifted.
