A Mother's Longing

If I could embody another soul, just for a day,
I'd choose to be my brother, who faded away.
To grant my mother a chance, a moment in time,
To speak to him once more, to hold him, divine.

She, a beacon of love, a mother so dear,
Deserves the universe, its wonders to appear.
And in those fleeting moments, when her gaze meets mine,
I'm struck by a realization, a truth so divine.

Have you ever glimpsed into your mother's eyes,
And felt unworthy, as if she deserved a better prize?
These thoughts persist, haunting my weary mind,
For she deserves a child, more noble, refined.

So, I yearn to grant her closure, a balm for her soul,
To mend the fragments, to make her heart whole.
If I could, I'd trade my life, my essence, my all,
To bring back my brother, to answer her call.

My mother, she deserves a partner, true and kind,
A love that uplifts, a soul that's intertwined.
She deserves children, a legacy of light,
To bring her joy, to make her burden light.

In this vast world, she deserves all that is good,
Peace of mind, happiness, as she always should.
So, I'll continue to ponder, to seek a way,
To bring her solace, to brighten her every day.
