Unveiling Reality's Cruelty

As I isolate myself, I grow stronger,
But it becomes difficult to accept kindness from others.
Even God won't hear your prayers,
As everything grows darker and colder.
Perhaps it's my way of adapting to these changes,
Yet, I also resist accepting them.
I sigh with a heavy breath,
The world of adulthood is truly different from fairy tales.
It's not that I'm captivated by fairy tales,
Or that I believed reality would be a fairy tale.
I simply never expected such immense complexities,
The pressures and cruelties of society.
