"I'm so glad you're my friend," you said sincerely, with a radiant smile on your face that makes my heart thump so loudly, I'm afraid you'll be able to hear it.
You're my closest friend,
One of the most precious people in my heart and in my life.
But what if the person you thought was your close friend secretly has feelings for you?
What if you were to realize about these feelings of mine? Would you still be able to smile at me like you do now?
I must admit, these thoughts have crossed my mind,
Hoping that our friendship would never be confined.
But if the truth were to be revealed,
Would it change the way we feel?
Would our connection grow stronger, or would it fade away?
Could we navigate these uncharted waters, come what may?
I cherish our friendship, it means the world to me,
Yet, these feelings inside, I can't help but see.
If you were to discover the depths of my heart,
Would it tear us apart, or be a brand new start?
I wonder if our bond could withstand the test,
And if it's worth risking, to put my heart to the test.
So, my dear friend, as I lay my feelings bare,
Know that our friendship, I'll always hold dear.
If fate allows, and the timing is right,
Maybe someday, we'll find our love's light.
