"I hope you will recover fast."

At the comment left Haechan's lips, Sunwoo swiftly whipped his head from the drink station in his direction. Haechan's face scrunched as he wiped the table as if he was holding back tears.

And somehow it made Sunwoo almost cry.

"I never knew that you cared for me," Sunwoo jokingly poked Haechan's arm which the latter rubbed the spot afterward. "It's so sweet of you."

"What are you talking about?" Haechan shoved Sunwoo's hand aside before he could launch another poke. "It's tiresome to do a hard task alone. I need your masculine help!"

Sunwoo's eyes twitched and his lips immediately formed a disbelief smirk. He did feel inconsiderate but that was the reality he needed to face. Living in this world today, they needed to sacrifice themselves for other people's sake. Even if it meant for them to endure any kind of pain.

Scoffing, Sunwoo carefully lifted a tray, a cup of hot tea and a slice of chocolate cake filled up the space. For a brief moment, Haechan was concerned and immediately stopped him.

"Which table is this for? Let me take it." He offered, and now only Sunwoo saw the sincerity in his eyes. So, he truly cared about him.

"It's okay. I'll bring it there," Sunwoo chinned towards a table at the very front where the customer could access the sidewalk through the glass.

Haechan peeked over in the direction, and his tense shoulders eventually slumped. Chae Soobin was there, too engrossed watching the rain droplets on the glass gliding down. She seemed to be in deep thought, considering the opened book left forgotten on the table.

"I've never seen her too serious like that," Haechan said, constantly watching over her.

"Neither do I," Sunwoo pondered, and breathed out afterward.

Leaving Haechan at the counter, he made the beeline between the tables to get to hers. The sound of the tray contacting the wooden table snapped Soobin out of her dream, slightly flinched.

"Oh, hi..." The smile drawn on her face was too fast masking her true feelings. Sunwoo found himself unable to be in a curious state of her former mood. "Tea?"

"Mhm..." Sunwoo took a seat across from her. "Tea can calm you down from whatever misery you have. And I serve you chocolate cake because you need sweet things to keep smiling."

But, he was the one who smiling.

Soobin sighed and almost groaned. It was just absurd to think that she would need to admit her defeat every time they were together. For, he knew how to make her open up. And Soobin was curious about how he could read her emotions.

"Then, I'll be extra smiling today..." She said in a playful tone as she cutely pondered.

"Why?"

"Because of the cake..." She pointed to the plate and trailed her finger to his face. "And because I'm looking at you."

"Oh!" Sunwoo was startled, and his hand immediately covered his open mouth. "You know how to flirt as well! Chae Soobin, you've improved, haven't you?"

Her face reddened, and embarrassment was clouding over her in a large amount. She was self-conscious, she would feel regret after she did something she never thought of doing.

And that was why she was now groaning with closed eyes.

"Cute..." Sunwoo reached out to tuck her hair.

Attacked. Soobin was flustered.

"So," Sunwoo then cleared his throat, and both his hands clasped on the table. "What makes you space out? Even Haechan noticed your constant stare outside."
