ill never forget today, ive been stressing for nearly 10 days waiting to see whether or not i got into my dream school. Today march 11th wednesday i got an email saying my admissions status has changed. I checked the mail, and my letter from stanford was there. I drove all the way to boston, because belly jeremiah and taylor got all their acceptances too. Most of our futures will be decided right now. i just walked inside the house and joined the 3 of them on the floor.
"Before anyone opens any letters or checks any websites good luck, whatever happens well be there for each other good or bad" jere says.
"Ill go first" taylor says being the brave one as usual.
"Alright this is from finch dear ms jewel we are pleased to invite you to continue your studies at finch univeristy next year" she reads aloud.
"Alright tay thats awesome" jere exclaims.
"that one dosnt count, ucla san fran is next you know incase west coast life is for me. Dear mrs jewel after careful consideration, we have decided to offer you admissions to ucla sanfran" she says and we all cheer.
"Jere you wanna go next, considering youve got the most" belly chuckles.
"Sure ill go" jere rolls his eyes.
"stanford first, dear jeremiah fisher we regret to inform you that you are not accepted into our program" he reads.
"Sorry jere" i say
"dont be stanford was a long shot ucla san fran" he opens it up
"i got in woooo!" he shouts.
"Good job proud of you" i state
"ucla berkely next dear mr fisher you have been accepted into our program" he reads aloud. We cheer again.
"california state dear mr fisher we regret to inform you blah blah blah" he jokes we all laugh.
"Finch is last, but not least god its gonna be real awkward if im not invited back" he laughs. The rest of us do too.
"dear jeremiah fisher we would love to have you continue your studies next year" he says.
"Oh thank god, wow we are a smart bunch" taylor says.
"Okay bean youre up next" jere says
"bean no only my mom calls me that" belly shakes her head in disgust.
"Alright ucla berkeley first" belly breathes in.
"ucla berekely is 1hr 20 minutes away from stanford, so a bit far but still close enough" belly smiles.
"Dear miss conklin we are pleased to inform you, you have been accepted with freshman honors. What does that mean?" she asks
"its like an early access thing, you get smaller classes early class registration, so first picks. Super awesome networking experiences, but it typically means going early in april or may. This is phenominal isabel" i explain.
"damn bells way to outshine us all" jeremiah jokes.
"I dont want to be exceptional, i want to enjoy my last 3 months of high school" belly replies.
"Well talk about that later" i look at her.
"Ucla sanfran is next dear mrs conklin we are pleased to say you have been accepted into our freshman honors program. What is happening right now?" belly says wide eyed and we all cheer and clap for her.
"i dont want this, i just want normal acceptance like everybody else" belly says nervous.
"You okay bells." jeremiah asks
