Ghost

Pete's POV:

We arrived at the stop and soon got down saying bye to phi. Ae held my hand as we walked into the campus. "Seems like Can and all are not around. Otherwise, they would pop out of nowhere to greet us." Ae spoke. "May be they went to canteen because Can always complains about being hungry." I replied. "May be... Let's go to canteen and find out." Ae said as we moved to make way to the canteen.

As we entered the place, I looked around to find them but there was no sign of them. Where would they probably go? "They are not here..." I said. "Hmm... Must be they went to classes already. But it's too early for the classes to begin. Wait... Let me call Tin." Ae said while fishing out his cell phone. "Ae... No need. They must be doing something and will eventually come searching for us. Let's have something and then if they don't show up, we will call them." I suggested. "You sure?" he asked. "Hmmm... Let's eat first." I said while motioning him to go forward.

We walked to the table in corner and placed the bags. I was about to follow Ae to buy something to eat when he denied asking me to sit while he went to buy something to eat. I sat down on the empty chair, looking around the place. There were few people in canteen compared to the usual rush. Looked like many were absent.

Soon, Ae was walking back towards the table with two bowls of noodles in his hands. I gave him a smile as he sat down in front of me placing the bowls on the table. "There are very few people today in the canteen. Looks like many have skipped the college today." Ae spoke. "I thought the juniors are having some events that's why they are absent." I replied. "There are no events at present. Since the exams are approaching, everyone is asked to concentrate on studies and the other activities are temporarily suspended." Ae replied.

"Hmmm... Let's not think over it and enjoy the breakfast. Then we can discuss about other stuff." I said while I began to eat. Ae nodded while continuing the same. It had been peaceful for a while with we both eating the meal nicely before the chaotic gang appeared at the door calling for us. Ae turned around to look and found all four of them walking towards us. It surprised me that Ae's friend Pond had joined the gang and easily blended into them. Ae didn't waste a second in getting up and occupying the seat beside me shoving me to the corner so that no one else can seat beside me.

Within no time, Pond was sitting next to Ae and Tin, Can and Peak on the other side. And all I could do was to stare at Ae blankly thinking about why he had to shift so abruptly. "Ai'Pete!! What's up?" Pond greeted casually. "Sawasdee khrab Pond... did you have breakfast?" I inquired. "He will eat a whole buffalo for breakfast and still complain he is hungry." Ae answered before Pond could.

"Ai'Shorty! You have no right to degrade me like that. I look more handsome than you." Pond retaliated. "Handsome my ass!! Did you forget that your earlier girlfriend broke up with you just because she thought you looked like a ghost at night?" Ae shot back. "Don't dare spread rumor about me. She broke up because I happened to scare her at night. Actually I wanted to scare her father because he was not allowing me to meet her but I ended up in the wrong room. Don't remind me of that night. Her father called my parents and por had beaten me up." Pond complained.

"Serves you right! Who told you to go around doing nonsense. Her father was right not to let you in. Ghosts are supposed to stay out of the house." Ae mocked. "Ae!!! You better not insult me... I am way better looking than you. I can still go and flirt with some girl right here and you will just be watching with your own eyes." Pond bluffed.

"Really? Now I actually want to see if you can do that. If you succeed, I will never bring that topic up. But if you lose, I will tell the whole story in detail to the whole gang so that they can decide what to do." Ae challenged. "Accepted!" Pond said with great confidence before moving to leave his seat like an emperor who was about to go on a war with enemy. If it would have been some drama, I can clearly hear some music playing in the background for the mighty Pond and people cheering him out loud.
