Ch. 62 A Walk In Darkness [Part 3]

-Previously in part three-

"We won't let that happen. We will battle her with everything we've got" Izzy says strongly. "So delusional. Oh I have a great idea. Why don't you join me. Joins us. Maybe then mother will spare you lot" He suggests. "Never! And we will save you Jace" Aria says.

"Please tell me you've got something?" Alec asks me. "I'm trying as fast as I can" I sigh.

Alec's POV

My phone rang. It was Luke. "Yes. We got Jace." I confirmed. "What?" I exclaimed. "Okay we'll meet you as soon as we can" I say put down the phone. "What's wrong?" Aria asks.

"Clary has been arrested" I say 

Aria's POV

You have got to be kidding me. Everything that could go wrong is going wrong. 

Luke and Simon showed up to the loft after Alec called them. 

"We came as soon as we can" Luke says walking in. "Any updates on Clary?" He asked. "Not as of yet" Alec says. "If the clave finds out what Clary did, we might never see her again. We need to do something and we need to do it fast" I say glancing at Jace. Alec squeezed my hand. "Do we know anyone in Idris that can give us any information?" Luke asked. 

"We stole from their armory, so if they figure that out, they wont tell us a thing" Izzy says. "Not only that, the owl hurt my grandmother. I can only hope she's okay. I feel useless. I couldn't do anything. I'm an angel for pete sake. I just-" I speak with guilt. "It's not your fault. Lilith is clearly getting stronger by the second. It only means we need a plan B" Magnus says. 

"I'll try get more Intel on Clary" Luke says. "Simon you go back to the abandoned building to find clues" he instructed. "What no, I'm not going anywhere while my best friend is in prison" Simon argues. 

"Clary risked everything for Jace. We can't let her sacrifice be for nothing. You want to do something for her then help us find and destroy  the demon that stated this mess" Izzy convinces him. He nods heading out with Luke. 

We stood there in silence for a few minutes. "So on the topic of Jace, I think I know what to do next" Magnus says. "Okay and that is?" Alec asks. "If we want to bring Jace back, we have t get through to him using the strongest connection possible. And thats you Alec." He says. "I'm in. whatever it takes" He nods without a second thought. 

I sucked in my breath knowing where this was headed. "I don't think you understand, this isn't like the last time we tried to use your parabatai bond" Magnus changes his tone. "You mean it's far more dangerous" Izzy frowns. 

"If you go in, Lilith could get her demonic claws into your soul as well" Magnus stresses. "I have to do this" Alec says strongly. Izzy looks at me conflicted. 

I wanted to object so badly. I couldn't lose him. I knew there was no way I could stop Alec from doing this. 

"I won't let you go alone Alec" I say. "Aria he's my parabatai" he says. "And he's my brother Alec!" I spit back. "I can go with him, if its possible" Izzy offers. "It is, it will require more magic but you won't have much time" Magnus says. 

"I'm going too" I say. "Aria, as Alec's wife and Jace's sister I need you here. You bond with the two of them is really powerful. I will need your help to bring them back" Magnus says. "Fine" I sigh giving in. 

"Alec can we talk?" I ask. He nods following me tot he balcony. "Aria-" I cut him of with a kiss. His hands circle around my waist pulling my further in. I slightly pull away. 

"what was that for?" he asks. "I need you to know that I will be here to pull you guys out with Jace. Even if this scares me" my voice breaks. "I'm scared to but we'll do this together" He whispers. "You all better come back in one piece you here me" I lightly joked. "Yes ma'am" He pulls me back in for a kiss.

"If you guys are done making out, Magnus says he's ready" Izzy chuckles peaking  from behind the door. we shook our heads. 

Let's do this.
