Alec sat on the bed, pulling me close. "It's true you know.. about my mom i mean. Before valentine killed her. The records to indicate mental illness." I say looking at him sadly. Retuning the look he sighed. "We'll figure it out" He says softly. "Yeah. I'm just scared." I admit. "I know, me too. But we'll make it through this" He says kissing my cheek.

I thought about telling him about my discussion with Magnus but I don't think now is a good time. We laid down, my head resting on his chest. We both fall asleep.

-Next morning-

Aria's POV

Despite the issues at hand I would say I'm having a lovely morning. Alec was kind enough to make us breakfast in bed. I'm falling in love with this man all over again. I smile as he places the tray on our mini dining table. Yes we have a dining table. Perks of being in charge of the institute.

"Fresh French toast with some berries and a glass of orange juice made by yours truly" He placed a kiss on my forehead. "Smells good!" I sat across him. "Wow this looks amazing!" Excited by his presentation. "Lets dig in then!" He hands me some cutlery. "Not bad" he says trying his own cooking. "Not bad? Alec it even tastes amazing. Give yourself some credit!" I giggle. "Maybe I should cook for us all. Izzy will mostly like kill us with her cooking one day" he jokes. I shake my head laughing. "Everyone has something they aren't good at..." I point out.

As we continued eating, Alec looks at me as if he wanted to ask me something. "You ask me anything you that right" I say taking a sip of the juice. "I know. Um so how did magic practice go with Magnus?" he asks. My body stiffens. Which doesn't go unnoticed by him. "It went well..." I bite my lip. "And?" he urges me to continue.

Well there's no better time to talk to him about it but now. "Magnus thinks I could take down the owl with the level of my capabilities and my ability to control" I say looking down. "Wait hold! did I hear that right?" He frowns. "Yeah..." I sighed knowing he wasn't happy about this discovery. "Aria, I love you but no!" He says firmly. "Alec, if I can then there is no reason not to use me" I stress to him. "It's way to risky, we barely know much about the owl. I don't want to lose you. I can't!" He argues.

"Alec we don't have a choice

"Alec we don't have a choice.. you know that. As the head of the institute you know this needs to be done. And I am willing to do it. For us. For our family." I argue back. "You can't except me to be okay with this Aria...if things go south there maybe no turning back. I want a future with you Aria. I want us to have kids one day. So, We'll find another way okay." He raised his voice. Not in anger but pure concern.
