Gonzalo's POV

"Leo, can you hear me?" I asked as my man tapped him on the shoulder. He was lying on the ground while his mom was looking at him worriedly. 

"Leonardo."

"Can't you let him sleep some more-" aunt Jane started but I cut her off.

"Leonardo wake the fuck up! Leo!" I snapped and he jolted a little, his mom also jumping a little in the process.

"Don't you dare touch me you monster- mom? Gonzalo?" He looked around with anger in his eyes and the anger dissolved as he registered his surroundings. He blinked in confusion while I noticed his voice was croaky. Aunt Jane walked to the couch where he was sitting. She sat beside him and cradled his head, looking from me to him with wide eyes.

"Get him a glass of water." I ordered.

"How are we here? What happened? Where's Rosa, is she okay?" He asked in one breath, looking from his mom to me and then around the room again.

"How are you, Leo? All your questions will be answered in due time. Do you think you have enough strength to get up on your own or you'll like to be supported?" I asked him as my man brought water over and helped him sip on it.

"Uh, I should be able to get up on my own. I don't feel that weak." He nodded, still frowning but he groaned when he tried to get off the tiled ground.

"Help him up." I ordered and he was assisted up till my man got the assurance that he could sit properly on his own, making sure a pillow was supporting him on the side.

"Where's Rosa?"

I sucked a deep breath of air in, feeling my heart break before I even uttered the words. They felt too heavy on my tongue.

"We don't know where she is." I muttered somberly.

"What the hell? Why don't you know where she is? You promised me you would always protect her and- Wait! No no no. Did he take her? He couldn't have. He was only bluffing when he said she would come to him. She would've been with you all along."

"Who are you talking about?" I sat properly, curiosity building up inside me.

"Leo you should rest a little-" aunt Jane began again but he shot her a look of suspicion.

"I'm talking about the man that took me. But- wait, how come you were there with me, mum?" He suddenly asked her and we all faced aunt Jane who gave Leo a stiff smile.

"I- uhm, I was also kidnapped." She stuttered, looking from Leo to me.

"Are you sure that's truly what happened?" I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Yes, what else could have happened?" She asked with a shrug as I kept staring at her with disbelieving eyes.

"I wouldn't know unless you tell me, aunt Jane. Because I asked you where Rosa was earlier and you said you were sworn to secrecy and couldn't tell me." I continued, watching her look from me to Leo with wary eyes.

"What's brother in-law talking about, mum?" Leo asked carefully, adjusting to face her as a look of apprehension slipped on his face.

"It's nothing."

"It's not 'nothing' dammit. Where the fuck is Rosa?" I gritted out, getting angrier by the second that she kept trying to ignore it. I didn't want to torture her but if it came down to it, I would definitely have to do just that.
