Rosa's POV

*

Mr and Mrs Rodriguez announced their unplanned trip very early this morning, saying they had an emergency as they'd just lost a dear friend and needed to visit his family.

It was sad to know they wouldn't be staying for so long, or at least long enough for me to get to know them more or continue last night's discussion with them.

Whatever they wanted to discuss had seemed urgent. Still, I went along with him.

"I'm sorry for your loss, is there anything you would like me to do for you? Perhaps pack up some breakfast or something similar to that, while you both pack up?" I asked them.

Gonzalo's mom gave me a smile, which I was only now realizing that it was quite similar to Gonzalo's beautiful smile.

She was slim and tall, at least she would be five ft seven while her husband was a few inches taller. They both had dark horse hairs but the man's eyes were a little large while his wife had slant, tiny eyes.

"You don't have to worry dear, just do what you usually do on Saturdays and stay safe, the world is a dangerous place." She said and as if on reflex, her gaze darted towards her husband who was already staring at her.

A part of me felt strange when she said that, and I stared at her for a few seconds before shaking my head, reminding myself that it was rude to stare at people.

Why did they love sharing a look as if they were communicating telepathically? Was it a couple thing they did? My parents usually did something similar but not quite frequent. The Rodriguez couple had shared similar looks several times last night and once or twice this morning.

"Alright then. Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything." And with that, I made my way out of their room and went back to mine.

I met Agatha on my way back but we only exchanged short greetings before she hurried past me and towards her employers room.

When I got back to my room, Leo had just woken up and he was busy playing a game on his phone.

Today was Saturday and my schedule was clear, unlike some other Saturdays so it would be nice to take my siblings out to the park or make some last minute plans for them.

I leaned in and pecked Leo's forehead, before doing the same with Greta.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, good morning. Tim wants to go out today to run some errands, can I go with him?" He asked me.

I frowned at that. Tim was the driver assigned to him, to take him to school and also bring him back home. He was a young man, probably even nineteen or twenty and even though he was a driver, he was still working under Gonzalo.

I realized Leo liked being around Tim a lot. He once asked me, very casually if I might add, what I would do if he drew a tattoo as cool as Tim's. Surprised, I'd just told him it would be cool but we needed to wait till he was nineteen to see if he still thought he needed a tattoo to make him look cool when he was of age.

When I caught his expectant gaze on me, I shook my head.

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Aww, come on Rosa. I promise to be a good boy, I won't punch anyone in the face or get aggressive if they make any reckless comments about me. I just really want to go out since we've only done that like...once since we left mom and dad to come here." He pouted his lips but I was having none of it.
